It had been another week, Cutter and Connor were progressing well with their out patient therapies and he thought after how busy it had been lately that he would have a small get together with everyone. His kids had been wanting another playdate with Rex and he thought it would be the perfect way to do that and have everyone at the ARC over, for security reasons Nate wasn't coming and Sarah was still not up for much social interaction so she and Becker weren't coming but Abby and Connor were coming over with the Rex's and Jenny had said she would stop by for a bit and check in since she was still on her leave. Danny had gone to pick up his kids so he was finishing up making snacks for the get together. Cutter and Connor were resting on the couch, "it will be good to see everyone again," Cutter smiled as he waited for everyone to turn up. Cutter couldn't believe that after these last several weeks/months ... he wasn't entirely sure how long it had been since he and Connor had been in the hospital but it had been too long that was for sure, he and Connor were finally getting the all clear to leave the hospital. They weren't going to be able to go home just yet, not with the threat of Christine, Helen and Wilder but Lester had offered his apartment for them to stay with him while they finished the rest of their recovery. "I can't believe we finally get to leave the hospital," he said happily, he knew they would have to come back for some appointments but for the most part this was the last time they were going to be in the hospital, he was definitely going to try and not make a habit of this. Another few days had passed and Cutter's nightmares had steadily been getting worse, the latest one seemed to involve Helen making a clone of him, which he couldn't remember anything about and it had left him really unsettled, he startled himself awake and it took him a few minutes to calm his breathing down to remember that he was at the hospital with Connor that Helen wasn't with them. It was a couple of days later and Cutter and Connor had been for their first physical therapy session, everything hurt. Cutter just wanted to get back in bed and not do this again. "Do we really have to do that again?" he asked as he and Connor were taken back to their room, even though he knew what the answer would be. It had been a few days since everything had happened, Connor and Cutter were still unconscious but they were breathing on their own now. It was up to them when they woke up and Lester had taken over for Jenny so she could go home and get some rest. He had been reading one of the lastest superhero comic books to Connor as he sat by his bed as he waited, he wanted to do something and he wasn't sure if Connor could hear him read but it made him feel like he was doing something useful. Sarah and Becker had been taken to a cell and shoved in, she was trying to not be scared but she was afraid of Becker being hurt again, "Becker are you alright?" she asked softly, she had seen the heavy blows he had taken from Wilder. It hadn’t taken long for the last few days of their vacation to come to an end and it was time for Cutter and Connor to head back to the ARC. “I can’t believe we’re actually due back at work this morning,” Cutter said as they sat the dining table, finishing up their breakfast before they went back to the ARC. "Oh wow," Cutter said as he looked around where the portal had let them out near their hotel, "I can't believe we're actually here," They had been planning this trip for so long and now they were in Johannesburg, it didn't seem real that they were here. While they had a bit of time before they were due back at the ARC and before they had to head back to Fandom, Cutter decided it was time to start sorting through everything they had in the house. Mostly deciding what needed to go and what new things they needed to buy. He stood in the middle of the living room, "this might take us a while," he said sheepishly.
