A Room at a Private Hospital and then Lester's Apartment - London

Cutter couldn't believe that after these last several weeks/months ... he wasn't entirely sure how long it had been since he and Connor had been in the hospital but it had been too long that was for sure, he and Connor were finally getting the all clear to leave the hospital. They weren't going to be able to go home just yet, not with the threat of Christine, Helen and Wilder but Lester had offered his apartment for them to stay with him while they finished the rest of their recovery. "I can't believe we finally get to leave the hospital," he said happily, he knew they would have to come back for some appointments but for the most part this was the last time they were going to be in the hospital, he was definitely going to try and not make a habit of this. Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I am so ready to be over and done with all of this" Connor said in agreement. "This is one step closer to never having to be back in a hospital again!" He too was not planning on making these stays a habit!
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"I know what you mean," Cutter agreed with a smile, "I definitely never want to see this wing or this hospital room again, I think I've had enough of the hospital to last a lifetime,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Amen to that!" Connor said as he looked over at Cutter from where he was standing on the other side of the room. He had just gotten changed and was ready for the doctors to come and give their final discharge instructions. "Feels good to be up and about too... "
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter grinned, "it definitely makes all the difference," he said as sat up on the bed, "its especially nice that we can get changed by ourselves as well and not rely on help all the time," he stretched out his legs as he enjoyed the feel of being able to move about more freely.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Nice to finally see all that work and therapy pay off. Finally feels like I'm almost back to normal you know?" Connor looked over and then made his way to where Cutter was sitting on the bed and smiled as he gave him a quick kiss. "You doing ok though Nick? Feeling alright so far?"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled at that kiss, "I'm feeling okay, a bit nervous that they'll try to keep us in the hospital," he admitted, he knew that the doctors were happy with their progress and were happy with them to leave but he was still scared of something coming up, "what if they change their minds?" he asked worriedly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"They won't. We are going home, I know it" Connor said as he wrapped his arms around Cutter as he sat on the edge of the bed beside him. "And if they try to keep us, I think at this point we are well enough along we could check ourselves out and they wouldn't be able to stop us. But... I don't think it is going to come to that" he said with a soft rub along Cutter's back to try and treasure him.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter nodded reassured at that touch, "I do like the idea of a hospital break out," he admitted with a grin as he leaned into Connor's arms, "but I agree, I don't think we need to resort to that, I think its just last minute nerves," he said softly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor placed a soft kiss on Cutter's forehead and smiled. He turned towards the door as there was a knock and he saw Lester and the doctor standing there. He gave a small shy smile and sat beside Cutter on the edge of the bed and waited for them to give them the all clear.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter was nervous as he waited for the doctor to speak, “it’s been a very long road for the two of you,” the doctor began, “but you’ve made excellent progress with your recovery and I’ll have the nurses do one more check up but from my end I’m happy for you two to be released into Mr. Lester’s care for your post recovery,” Cutter broke out into a smile at that, “oh Connor, we get to leave,” he said happily.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor let out the small breath he had been holding as well and smiled at that. "Aye... we get to leave" he said as he looked from Cutter to the doctor over to Lester. "We are still ok to leave right Sir?" he asked Lester, hoping nothing had come up on his end to delay their release.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester smiled, "you are still okay to leave, everything has been set up at my apartment and you will have extra security detail to guard you not he way, I'm not taking any chances that something else will happen," he said. Cutter grimaced at the idea of extra security detail but he really wanted to leave the hospital, "thank you James," he said softly, "it will be nice being able to be somewhere than this hospital," he paused, "no offence," he added to the doctor. "None taken," the doctor smiled, "I'm very pleased with your progress, you and Connor have both come a long way,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"It will be nice to get back to something semi normal again" Connor said with a nod and then looked at Lester. "I guess Danny will be heading up the security detail this time? Since Becker is going to be going home with Sarah soon I hear."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"He is," Lester confirmed, "I did ask if Becker wanted to come back to the ARC for the security detail but he still doesn't want to leave Sarah's side, he'll be on leave for at least the next few weeks while he gets Sarah set up in their new apartment but he has assured me that he will be back after that," he added. Cutter breathed a sigh of relief at that, he had been afraid that Becker would consider resigning again like he had earlier, "at least he's still coming back," he said softly, he missed Becker but he understood Becker's desire to stay with Sarah throughout her recovery.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"We'll eventually get everyone back together" Connor said with a small nod. He then looked to the doctor and have a small sigh. "So aside from the weekly visits and check ins what all all will we have to do during our recovery the next few weeks?" "There will be some daily exercises and checks we will need you to do. Mr Lester had been given instructions so he can help and we will always be here as well if you need to contact us with any concerns."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter didn't really like the idea of doing any more physical therapy but he knew it was important for him and Connor to be able to leave the hospital, "alright," he said softly, "we'll keep doing the exercises," "And you also still have to take your daily medication," the doctor added, "we will review your medication in a couple of weeks but for the time being I would like to still keeping taking the doses that you are,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor wasnt thrilled with the therapy and medication news, he had really hoped they could start backing off on the medicines. But he understood and there was a chance they could start cutting back soon. "Alright, I... that doesn't sound too bad. Will keep up with things and make sure we do the exercises and check in as we need to."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	The doctor nodded, "we'll review the therapy and the medication with each check in and see how you're progressing," he said, "over the next few weeks, we'll look at reducing the exercises and the dosages until you complete your out patient recovery as well," "I know this is still a lot to take in, especially moving to out patient recovery but this is an important step for the both of you," Lester said softly, "we'll get through this," Cutter nodded, "thank you James, dr. For helping us get this far, so that we can leave the hospital," he said softly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"How long do you think we are going to have to have the security detail? It will be good to see Danny more often after everything but still...." the idea of the security team being around all the time was still a little intimidating.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester hesitated, "Its hard to say, since we still don't where Christine, Wilder and Helen are it could be weeks maybe even months," Cutter grimaced at the idea of having security detail for that long, "what about the anomalies? Who's been taking care of those while we've been in the hospital?" "Danny and the security team have been dealing with the anomalies," Lester told them, "now that Danny's being reassigned for security detail along with a couple of other ARC agents, it will be a bare bones operation until we can be sure that Christine or Helen won't try anything again,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"We'll be back on our feet and able to help in no time" Connor said, feeling bad that so much of he ARC resources were being pulled away because of them. "We'll be back to helping out in no time....errrr... " He looked at Lester and the doctor and gave a sheepish grin. "As soon as we are cleared to of course!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Right soon as we cleared," Cutter agreed looking rather sheepish at that, he shifted a little, he had hoped they would be back at the ARC much sooner but he knew they still had some recovery still to do and that soon enough they would be back at the ARC. Lester just gave them a look, "as soon as the doctor clears you to return to the field and not a moment before," he said but there was a small smile there as he said it. The doctor nodded as the nurses came in to do one last check up before they became out patients, "if you continue on with your recovery like the way you have been, I think you'll only need a few weeks at the most before you'll be able to get cleared," he told them.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor sat still while the nurse worked and looked at the doctor with a small nod. "That doesn't sound too bad. And being at Lester's, with the change of scenery and all, we can be outside more which I think will help make things a little easier too!" The nurse smiled as she finished up checking Connor's vitals and then gave he doctor a smile and a nod. She then moved over to work on Cutter for the final check.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter gave a small smile at Connor at that, he was still rather nervous about his final check up, that this would be the thing that kept him from leaving the hospital with Connor, "that doesn't sound to bad, I do like the idea of being outside more," "As long as the two of you promise to stay out of my kitchen, I think we can make those arrangements," Lester said with a small smile. Cutter looked sheepish at that, "alright we'll stay away from the kitchen," and then before he knew it the nurse was finished and she was also nodding her approval at the doctor, "does that mean we can leave now?" he asked hopefully.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Indeed it does" the doctor said with a smile. "I have all your discharge notes and instructions here as well as copies of all the exercises and things the therapist wants you to keep working on while you are staying with Mr. Lester." The doctor handed the folder to Lester with a small nod. "Otherwise you are free to go. I am so glad to see you both make it to this point" he said with a genuine smile. "Thank you, everyone" Connor said with a smile as he looked at the doctor and then the nurse. "We wouldn't have made it half as far without you all."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Thank you," Cutter echoed his sentiment as Lester went to get the wheelchairs so that they could get to the car but Cutter was just glad that they didn't have to rely on the chairs as much now, "thank you for all of your support," "You're welcome," the doctor smiled, "if you do need any further advice, don't hesitate to give us a call,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I'm sure we will be in touch at some point" Connor said as he got up and got into the wheelchair when Lester brought it over. He really wanted to just walk out of the hospital but he knew he shouldn't overdo it right here at the end of it all.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter was also wishing that they could just walk to the car but he hoped it would only be a little while longer and than they wouldn't need to use the chairs but he sat down in the chair that the nurse had brought over to him. "Can you believe it we're really leaving," he said with a smile.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I know it almost doesn’t feel real after all this time. We are finally getting to go home... well... one home" Connor said with a smile at Lester. "Mr Lester sir" the nurse said as they got ready to leave. "Your security detail just called in and said they ar ready and waiting outside for you. You are good to go whenever you are ready."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Thank you," Lester said with a nod as he made sure Cutter and Connor were ready to leave, "I'll be in touch to follow up on how Cutter and Connor are doing," he promised, "thank you everyone for your help," "Thank you again," Cutter added with a smile as he took one last look at the room, he was definitely hoping that it was the last time that they were back in this room.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor couldnt keep the grin off his face as they made their way down the hallway and out to where Danny and the security detail was waiting. "Well if you two aren't a sight for sore eyes" Danny said with a fond smile as he walked over. "Here to bust you out of here and get you back home where you belong." "Good to see you Danny" Connor said with a grin. "It really is."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled as he saw Danny, "it's really good to see you Danny," he said happily, "it will be so good to finally leave here," Lester nodded at Danny, "is everything secure Danny?" he asked.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"All secure Sir. Area has been checked and my guys have the area covered. We're good to go" Danny have a nod to Lester then turned his attention to Connor and put a hand on his shoulder and gave a gentle squeeze. "How about it? Ready to get out of here?" he asked with a broad grin as he held a hand out for Connor. "More than ready" Connor said as he took the hand Danny offered him as he stood up out of the wheelchair and got into the car. "Thank you Danny."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester nodded, "excellent, I think its safe to say these two are ready to leave," he said as he waited for Danny to put Connor in the car so that he could help get Cutter in then. Cutter smiled as he watched Danny help Connor into the car, he stared back at the hospital one last time, he knew that they would have to come back for doctors check ups and some therapy sessions but he was definitely feeling relieved that they were no longer staying in the hospital.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Need a hand Nick?" Connor asked as he looked from inside the car and reached his hand out to help Cutter as he started getting into the car. "Nice and easy. There yo go." Danny smiled as he moved to help Cutter as well, there to offer support if he needed as he worked on getting into the car."All comfortable now Nick? Feel alight?" he asked once Cutter seemed settled.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter trembled a little bit as he gratefully took Connor's hand and began to slide into the car. It took a bit more effort than he would like but it wasn't long before he was sitting on the back seat with Connor, Danny helping him get his belt on. "Made it," he said with a small tired smile, "thank you Connor, Danny," he said softly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor smiled encouragingly and gave a nod to Lester and Danny that they were good. With the doors closed Connor watched as Lester spoke to Danny about the instructions for the trip to the ARC. "You alright Nick?" He asked softly, knowing that it had been a bit harder than he had expected and he wanted to make sure Cutter was ok. "You got enough room?"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter gave a tired smile, “I’m alright,” he reassured Connor, “it just took a bit more effort than I thought it would,” he admitted. “I’ve got enough room,” he added, “how about you? Are you alright?” he checked as he looked over at Connor.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"All good here. And yeah little more tiring than I thought but I managed alright with Danny's help" Connor said with a grin. "You did good Nick. We're on our way home. One more obstacle we've overcome!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled softly at that, "we are on our way home, I never thought we were going to leave the hospital the way we were going there, it feels good that we've now finally left,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	As they started on their way Connor looked out the window and watched as Danny got into the other car and followed after them. He reached over and gave Cutter's hand a squeeze. "It's not too far of a drive is it?" Connor asked, trying to remember how long it had taken last time they had stayed with Lester.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"It's not far at all," Lester promised as the driver drove to the apartment, "I've already made arrangements for your sleeping area, I've set up the couch like last time," he told them. "Thanks James," Cutter said as he gave Connor's hand a squeeze and held it, "thanks again for doing this for us,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Yes thank you, Sir" Connor said with a nod. "I know we would have had to stay in the hospital a lot longer without this. I know we aren't ready to be 100 percent on our own so thank you for helping us like this...again" Connor said as he leaned his head over against Cutter's shoulder and gave a small yawn.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester gave a small smile, "you're welcome, you've both made such good progress and I wanted you to still be able to stay together, you're definitely stronger together and I'm glad that I can help out in this way, in a few weeks I'm confident that you'll both be back at your own home before you know it," Cutter got comfortable leaning against Connor as well and he gave a small yawn as well, "we really appreciate it James, I'm glad we don't have to spend any more time in that hospital room," he admitted.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor gave a small nod as he closed his eyes. He wouldn't sleep, he was too excited still about leaving the hospital but he was tired and liked being there with Cutter. So he closed his eyes and listened to Cutter's voice and to Lester as he instructed the driver on what back roads to take to get to his apartment.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled softly as he saw Connor close his eyes and continued to talk to James, so Connor could keep listening to his voice. It wasn't much later when the car was pulling up to Lester's apartment, Cutter hadn't been back since they were here the last time and he looked through the window curiously to see if anything had changed. "Well here we are," Lester smiled as the car came to a stop.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor opened his eyes and looked around when the car stopped. Everything looked pretty much as he had remembered from last time. There were a couple of the security team already there to greet them as Danny pulled up in the car a few minutes later. "Well here we are" Connor said with a small grin as he started to undo his belt and looked over to see if Cutter needed any help.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled at that, relieved that they had made it to the apartment without incident, “we made it,” he said and then hesitated, “do you … do you think you could help me undo my seat belt?” he asked softly, realising he was a lot more tired and achy than he thought.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Of course Nick" Connor said as he shifted a little and reached over to undo Cutter's belt. "There you go." A moment later Cutter's door opened as Danny up and gave Cutter a small smile. "Ready?" he asked softly as he held out his hand for Cutter so he could help him out of the car.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter limped against Danny, at the effort it was taking, he was just glad that they were nearly there. Lester nodded, "we'll see you inside," he confirmed and held out his hand towards Connor, "ready to head inside?" he asked gently.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Definitely" Connor said with a nod though he sounded a little unsure as he watched Cutter slowly make his way towards the house. Slowly he took Lester's hand and started to slide off the seat, pausing just a minute when his feet touched the ground and he tried to get his balance.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Easy there," Lester said gently as he kept hold of Connor, "nice and slow alright?" he encouraged as Cutter and Danny reached the front door and disappeared inside.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor bit his lip a little and nodded as he held onto Lester's hand tightly. "Yeah... I... I'm good" he said as he slowly made his way towards the front door where Danny had just been standing with Cutter. "I can do this..."
Lester(thearcfamily)	"You can do this Connor," Lester reassured him as he kept hold of Connor's hand and slowly guided him to the door, "we don't have to rush this, you can take your time..."
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Sooner I get in the sooner I can sit down" Connor said with a small strained laugh as he tired not to lean against Lester too much as they made it to the doorway and walked in. He smiled a little when he saw Cutter sitting on the couch with Danny standing nearby. "I can do this..." he said as he took a breath and pushed on the last few steps.
Lester(thearcfamily)	"You're doing very well Connor," Lester encouraged, "just a few more steps and then you can rest," Cutter smiled tiredly over at Connor, "You've got this Connor," he encouraged from where he was sitting.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor nodded, biting his lip so he couldn't say anything as he made it the final steps and sank onto the couch with a sigh. "Ok that was harder than I thought it would be" he said as he laid his head back against the couch and smiled tiredly over at Cutter.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Cutter reached over and held his hand out for Connor to take, "you did very well Connor," he returned that tired smile. "You both did very well," Lester told them, "and now the hard part is over, you can sit and relax for a while while we run security checks, later if you're both feeling hungry I can make dinner for you if you'd like?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor grabbed Cutter's hand and gave it a squeeze. "Resting for a bit sounds good" he admitted. "And a nice dinner would be really good... if... if it's not too much trouble," he said as he looked at Lester before Danny walked over to start the first security sweep.
Lester(thearcfamily)	"It's no trouble at all," Lester reassured them as Cutter returned the hand squeeze, "is there something in particular you would like me to make for you?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Pasta of some kind sounds really good?" Connor considered as he looked over at Cutter. "Would... would Dany be able to join us for a little while at least?" he asked as he glanced through the glass doors leading to the deck and saw Danny already talking to the security team.
Lester(thearcfamily)	"Pasta sounds really nice," Cutter agreed tiredly with a smile. "Pasta it is," Lester smiled, "Spaghetti or Ravioli?" he asked and then he nodded, "and Danny is definitely welcome to join us if he would like to," he assured them as he waited to see what the security team had to say.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Maybe ravioli... that sausage mushroom and cheese one we made that one time was good" Connor said with a small smile thinking back to one of his and Lester's cooking lessons the had had during their little vacation trip what felt like so long ago now.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester smiled at that memory, "Sausage, mushroom and cheese ravioli it is," he nodded, "and what would you like to drink, I have water, soft drink and juice, I would offer wine but I don't think either of you are quite up to drinking alcohol just yet," Cutter grimaced at the thought, "could I have some juice please and I think avoiding alcohol for a while longer isn't a bad idea," he agreed.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Yeah no alcohol for me" Connor said with a small laugh as he shook his head. "Soft drink would be nice, thank you" he said as he leaned back on the couch and closed his eyes for a bit.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Juice and Soft drink it is," Lester smiled, "you two can go and get some rest and I'll have dinner ready when you wake up," he promised. "Thank you James," Cutter said as he yawned and also leaned back against the couch, as he got comfortable.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor nodded sleepily and shifted on the couch and against the pillows that had been put there for them. He smiled and leaned back and pulled Cutter closer as he closed his eyes and gave a sleepy yawn. He didn't thing a ride in the car and a short walk would have made him that tired but it did.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled as Connor pulled him closer, "I love you Connor," he said as he let out another yawn and got comfortable against Connor, getting released from he hospital had been a lot more tiring than he had thought it would be but he was glad to be out of the hospital room and James' couch was a lot more comfortable than the hospital room.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor wrapped his arms around Cutter and held him close as he nodded off. It was a lot better than the hospital room and a lot more relaxing too as he could hear Lester and Danny talking somewhere nearby. With a small smile Connor fell asleep on the couch for a bit- at least until they needed to wake up later.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter leaned in against Connor, taking comfort from his arms wrapped around him and after a few more moments he began to drift off as well, sleep eventually over taking him from the tiring events of the day.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	How long it was Connor didn't know, but at some point he woke up to the smell of the delicious dinner Lester was making. He smiled as he looked and saw Cutter still asleep and leaned over and kissed the side of his head softly.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter stirred slightly, first as he could smell wonderful food that was promising to be ten times better than hospital food and then at Connor kissing the side of his head, his eyes opened and he turned slightly so he could look up at Connor, "this is very nice," he smiled.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"It is quite the nice wake-up isn't it?" Connor said with a small grin. "Dinner and snuggles. I could get used to this..."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled, "definitely a nice wake up," he agreed, "do you think we could make this happen fairly regularly?" he asked hopefully, "I could definitely get used to dinner and snuggles as well,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor smiled as he heard Lester in the kitchen and reluctantly shifted a little on the couch. He looked around and saw Danny standing near the front door. "Danny" he said with a smile. "How's it going?" "Hey Connor, Nick. You're up" Danny said with a small grin. "All's good, everything as it should be so no worries."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter relaxed a little at hearing that, "oh that's good," he said, "I'm glad everything's alright and we can focus on dinner," he said softly as he also sat up a little on the couch as well. The food definitely smelled amazing and he couldn't wait to try it.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor moved over a little to make room for Danny and nodded for him to join them. "It's good that you can be here with us... but... ya know, sorry you have to do this and all." "It's alright, my job is to protect you guys and the ARC. Becker can take care of himself and Sarah, the ARC is in good hands with the rest of the team. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else other than here" Danny said with a grin as he sat on the couch on the other side of Connor.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter gave a smile, "we really do appreciate this Danny, thank you for helping us, I know I wouldn't feel safe if we were back at our house," he admitted, especially with Helen knowing exactly where the house was.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"We'll take care of all that and set up something for you both when we get to that point" Danny said with a nod of understanding. "But for now, we're going to be a nice little family for the time being." Connor smiled and gave a small laugh at that and was about to say something when he heard Lester start bringing things to the table. "Sounds like dinner's just about ready..."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled, "I do like the sound of that," he said and then his smile widened as he saw the food being laid on the table, "Oh this looks wonderful, thank you James," "You're welcome," Lester smiled as he got the glasses of drink on the table as well, "I hope you've got an appetite because I made plenty of food," he told them.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor gave a small smirk as his stomach rumbled as he made his way to the table and looked at the spread. "Oh this is all amazing looking, thank you Lester" he said as he looked at everything. "I feel like I could eat an elephant honestly."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester smiled at that , “I’m afraid I’m fresh out of elephants,” he said as he finished putting everything on the table, “but I do have a lot of ravioli,” he added. Cutter took a seat and began to eat the ravioli, “this is delicious, thank you James,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor also began eating once he was seated between Cutter and Danny. He knew Lester's food was good. But it was always amazing getting to enjoy it again. "This is really really amazing, thank you" he said after he had the first few bites. "Even better than I remember it from when we made it last time!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester smiled, "you're welcome, I know how eager you've both been to get out of the hospital and hopefully this food makes up for the weeks of hospital food," Cutter smiled as he took a few more bites of food, "it definitely does James, thank you again for letting us stay here for the next few weeks, it makes all the difference not being in the hospital anymore,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"And thanks for letting me tag along too Guv" Danny said with a grin between bites as he looked at Cutter and Connor with a wink. "Wouldn't want anyone else here that's for sure other than Becker" Connor said with a nod. "Makes it much easier having you here for security rather than someone we don't know."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"We're glad to have you with us Danny," Lester smiled warmly at that, "it definitely helps makes this next transition go a lot smoother, especially when we need to secure Cutter and Connor's transport to and from the hospital, there's still too many variables at play," Cutter didn't want to think about all that security going to and from the hospital but he knew it was necessary, he definitely didn't want to end up back as an in patient, "thank you Danny, for everything that you've done to help us," he nodded, "we definitely feel a lot safer with you here and Connor's right, its easier than having an unknown person with us,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Are you going to have to stay the nights here too or will you be able to go home now and then"Connor asked as he looked from Danny to Lester. He was glad it was Danny with them but he also didn't want to make things too difficult on him. "I'll most likely be here most of the time" Danny said with a small nod as he looked over at Lester. "Not like I got anyone waiting for me back home and as long as everyone is ok at the ARC.... I should be here."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter felt bad that Danny was going to be having so much of the workload, especially with Becker still on leave and looking after Sarah, "I'm sorry we're causing you so much trouble Danny," he said softly, "at least this should only be a few weeks right?" he asked hopefully.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"You guys are fine" Danny said shaking his head with a smile. "I'd just be sitting in an empty flat staring at the walls if I wasn't doing something with the ARC. And Lester here would have to give direct orders for me not to be here, I'm glad to be taking up the mantle for Becker as it were while he stays with Sarah." "Well, we promise not to be too much of a handful" Connor promised, his smile going a bit lopsided as he added, "at least there will be no kitchen catastrophes this time right?"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"And we're glad that you can help us Danny, we appreciate everything you're doing," Lester told him as he finished off his plate. Cutter looked very sheepish at the mention of the kitchen and his eyes looked over to the kitchen, remembering how much of a mess that he and Connor had made the last time. "Yes no kitchen catastrophes this time," he agreed. Lester just shook his head, "there better not be, I don't want to have to clean up another destroyed kitchen,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Scouts honor, not stepping foot in the kitchen" Connor said with a laugh as he raised his hand. "Now I am curious about what happened," Danny said as he quirked an eyebrow and finished off the last few bites. "You'll have to tell me about it when I finish my evening rounds" he said with a small grin.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Lester just shook his head at that, "don't go getting any ideas," he warned them, "I like my kitchen clean," Cutter grinned as he also finished off his meal and took a sip of juice, "we'll tell you all about what happened," he promised, "Becker's shirt was completely ruined by the end of it, it was covered in flour if you can imagine,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"And I'm pretty sure I had egg in my hair by the end of it all too" Connor admitted with a shy smirk. "It... it really was bad. I've gotten a little better, but yeah no kitchen time for us!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"I've definitely learnt my lesson," Cutter agreed, "I'm sticking to takeout or frozen dinners," he said with a grin, watching James closely as he twitched at the mention of frozen dinners, "I mean I could go back in the kitchen and cook - " "That won't be necessary," Lester said quickly as he began to start clearing some of the plates off the table.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor couldn’t hold back the laugh at that.It felt good to laugh again thought it did still hurt his chest and shoulder a little. "I'll manage the take-outs and Lester can cook as he wants" Danny said with a laugh. "I think that works out quite nicely in fact!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter laughed as well, it felt good being able to sit and talk like this without worrying about possible attacks or their future, he knew it was still going to be a long recovery but he knew as long as he had Connor and the team with him that they would get through this next part. "I'll allow that," Lester said with a small smile, "how about once or twice a week for takeout and I'll cover the cooking for the rest?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I think that sounds good. So long as it's not too much on you... I know you have a lot on your plate too with the ARC and everything else going on" Connor said softly. "But I definitely won't say no to your food if you are offering!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"It's no problem at all Connor, I'll be happy to cook for you and Cutter," Lester smiled as he finished cleaning the kitchen, "and at least this way I'll know you are eating something other than takeout and frozen dinners," "Thank you James," Cutter smiled, "I definitely won't say no to eating more of your food if its no trouble,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"And if there's enough there might always be left overs so not like there has to be cooking involved in every single meal" Danny noted as he helped Lester finish up with the dishes. "Oh good point there" Connor agreed. "I know we had the best possible options but the hospital food was still hospital food. Definitely going to enjoy anything you make Lester!"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"That is a good point," Lester agreed as he finished washing the dishes, "I will still have to check in with the ARC and the Minister at various points but a lot of the work can be done from here, so those days when I do have unavoidable appointments I'll make sure there's plenty of leftovers," he assured them. "I think anything is better than hospital food after eating it for the last several weeks," Cutter agreed with a smile, "I'm definitely looking forward to the change and your amazing cooking James,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"And the days you have to do in person check ins or sessions at the hospital I will be taking both of you myself" Danny said as they finished up with the dishes. "That way Lester has some time to do things as well if needed." "It'll be fine, we are going to get through it all together. I know we can do it" Connor said with a confident nod. "It's another few days till the first check in so we have time to figure out a routine and schedule and what not."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter nodded, "we're going to manage," he said confidently, "once we get that schedule and routine organised and get used to leaving the apartment for hospital visits, we shouldn't have any problems," at least he hoped they wouldn't.
