Professor Nick Cutter

Helen was furious. None of this had gone to plan, she had Nick and Connor right where she wanted them and now they refused to give despite how badly they were hurting. It hadn’t taken long for the last few days of their vacation to come to an end and it was time for Cutter and Connor to head back to the ARC. “I can’t believe we’re actually due back at work this morning,” Cutter said as they sat the dining table, finishing up their breakfast before they went back to the ARC. A few hours later and they had finally made it back to the ARC, Cutter reeling from thinking that the traitor had been Jenny to finding out that it was Leek and they had gotten back as quickly as they could, only to find Lester had been attacked by the future predator that was being controlled by Leek. Lester had managed to get away by releasing the Mammoth and after his earlier griping about it, actually seemed rather fond of the Mammoth now and had even volunteered to take it home for his children so they could have a pet. Jenny was still furious with Cutter, which he deserved that, he knew that he couldn’t blame her for that but after talking to her for a little bit, she had seemed to calm down a bit. Meanwhile both Connor’s had got to work on the ADD, trying to access Leek’s file and had come up with a location, only in the process it had set off a bomb timer and Cutter and Connor had worked to disarm it. And now after all that Lester had refused to let Cutter’s team come along, officially handing the operation over to the military, when Cutter had tried to protest Lester had pointed out that he was a civilian and an injured civilian on top of that, the paperwork alone would have been nightmare to finish. Cutter reluctantly found himself left behind and very, very bored. ( it was all going to go downhill from here ) [part seven and continuing with our meshing of canon and fandom as we tear canon apart and put it back together. Lester had called a couple of days ago, saying that there had been a lot more anomaly activity and they needed all hands on deck, he had even - if somewhat reluctantly invited Connor to tag along to help them.

Since they were heading home, Cutter thought that this was a good opportunity to finally tell the team about him and Connor being together, they had already told Cutter’s Connor the news - which it turned out they’d had nothing to worry about, he was very firmly in love with Abby and had been very supportive of them being together.

The team had been supportive as well, even Stephen - Cutter knew there was a lot of history between them and he had been nervous about telling Stephen, not just because of everything that had happened with Helen but the times that he and Stephen had tried and failed to make it work between them before deciding to be really good friends instead.

Now that he’d told the team, he supposed now was as good a time as any to let them in on his discovery that there was a traitor amongst them - he’d called a meeting with both Connor’s, Abby and Stephen - he felt bad about not including Jenny in this but he didn’t know how far up it did go, from what he’d gathered from Connor it went fairly high up and he didn’t want to include her in this just yet.

He’d arranged for them to meet in the gym but he was waiting in his office first with Connor, mentally preparing himself to go and meet with them.

“What if they don’t believe me?” he looked worriedly over at Connor, “what if they … I don’t know, think I’m just paranoid or something?”
