Professor Nick Cutter

Cutter had woken up pretty early as he tended to most days, after spending months in the cretaceous being on early watches, it was still a schedule that was hard to shake so when he had gotten up and went to put the water in the kettle that morning he noticed that instead of water coming out of the tap it was pumpkin spice latte.

“Well this is different,” he said as Rex sat on the kitchen and tried to drink the liquid that was coming out to try it.

It had been a long and very, very tiring several months but the time had come for Cutter and Connor to make their way back to Fandom. After everything that they had been through Cutter couldn’t believe that they had made it to this day, they had said goodbye to everyone and had caught the portal back to Fandom.

Now they were out the front of their flat, Rex was chirping happily in his carrier as he began to recognise that they were back in Fandom, “I can’t believe we’re home,” he smiled at Connor.

It was New Years Eve and tomorrow their house arrest would officially kick off for the next few months. Cutter was nervous, even though he and Connor had done everything to make sure that the flat was ready for their house arrest, he still couldn’t believe how quickly these last few weeks had gone. He and Connor were planning on a quiet New Years celebration, he had set out some wine and snacks for them to have to ring in the new year and then they would officially been house arrest. “I can’t believe how quickly these last few weeks have gone by,” Cutter said as he sat down on the couch, offering Connor a glass of champagne. It had been several long days between getting rescued from Christine and Wilder's clutches, everything still ached from those punches that Wilder had subjected him to but he was just glad to be able to get away from them. Now he and Connor would be serving several months house arrest in Fandom starting from the New Years as part of their deal to avoid jail, he stared down at the monitor that was on his ankle. It didn't feel real, everything that they had endured but he got to be with Connor and they weren't in jail so at least that something. He numbly sat down on the couch in their flat once they had returned to Fandom, "it still feels like everything's a dream," he said softly, "I never thought I'd be back in Fandom ... especially under these circumstances," ( They were finally back in Fandom ) [the final part. After class had finished for the day Cutter had returned to his and Connor’s flat and decided to have a shower. He was planning on heading back to his old flat to do some work on setting up the anomaly prediction model Fandom version and he was still getting used to the idea of showering with sharing a flat with someone, since it had been a very long time since Helen and even Stephen, he hadn’t thought to completely cover up and had only wrapped a towel around him, which meant a lot of those still very red H’s that had been imprinted in his skin were completely visible.

He went back to the bedroom to change, still oblivious to the idea that Connor could walk in and see those scars.

At first Cutter had been annoyed that Connor had blown off class and then he'd felt guilty, he knew he had basically fled Fandom the second he had the chance to avoid Connor and maybe now Connor was doing the same? So he'd taught class on his own, debating on whether or not he should send Connor a text message to make sure he was okay and then decided to wait til after class before he checked on him. After what felt like forever he finally made it to Connor's flat and let himself in with the key - he should probably really return that key now but he was glad that he still had it with him to be able to check in and make sure Connor was alright. “Connor?” he called out, “Connor it’s me?
