Another few days had passed and Cutter's nightmares had steadily been getting worse, the latest one seemed to involve Helen making a clone of him, which he couldn't remember anything about and it had left him really unsettled, he startled himself awake and it took him a few minutes to calm his breathing down to remember that he was at the hospital with Connor that Helen wasn't with them. It was a couple of days later and Cutter and Connor had been for their first physical therapy session, everything hurt. Cutter just wanted to get back in bed and not do this again. "Do we really have to do that again?" he asked as he and Connor were taken back to their room, even though he knew what the answer would be. It had been a few days since everything had happened, Connor and Cutter were still unconscious but they were breathing on their own now. It was up to them when they woke up and Lester had taken over for Jenny so she could go home and get some rest. He had been reading one of the lastest superhero comic books to Connor as he sat by his bed as he waited, he wanted to do something and he wasn't sure if Connor could hear him read but it made him feel like he was doing something useful. Helen was furious. None of this had gone to plan, she had Nick and Connor right where she wanted them and now they refused to give despite how badly they were hurting. Cutter didn't know how long it had been since Helen had left them in the cell, "Connor, do you think the others will be alright," he finally asked, still feeling guilty that they were all in this position because of him. After a very long flight back to London, Cutter, Becker and Connor eventually made it back to the ARC. It had taken a lot of planning and coordinating but the day of their South Africa trip had finally come, Connor and Cutter were going to be portalling over to near their dig site and Becker was going to be meeting them there, he had already texted them to say that he was on the plane and would see them shortly. Cutter went over all of their bags to make sure they hadn’t forgotten anything, “can you believe we’re finally doing this?” he said excitedly as he checked to make sure he had all their documents and permits. It wasn't long before Cutter and Connor made it back to their place and Cutter couldn't help but feel a little nervous as he opened the door to let them in. He hadn't been back since everything had happened with Helen and Stephen, he had asked Becker to check on the house from time to time but he had not been back himself. "Well," he smiled at Connor, trying to focus on him and ignore how nervous he was about being back home, "here we are," ( it was time for further celebrations ) [and even more celebrating. It was a week later and Connor’s graduation had come and gone and after the photos and the general congratulations, the whole team had gone out to celebrate. Lester had made arrangements for a private room had one of the restaurants that he had liked to frequent and had set up a buffet style arrangement for them so they would be on their own. It was the first time that Connor and Cutter had been back home since their house arrest had started and it was a special trip home since they were going to be finally ending their house arrest and getting their ankle monitors removed and celebrating their first night of freedom.
