It wasn't long before Cutter and Connor made it back to their place and Cutter couldn't help but feel a little nervous as he opened the door to let them in. He hadn't been back since everything had happened with Helen and Stephen, he had asked Becker to check on the house from time to time but he had not been back himself. "Well," he smiled at Connor, trying to focus on him and ignore how nervous he was about being back home, "here we are," [and even more celebrating. This thread is also NSFW. Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	It had been a while since Connor had been there, definitely before everything had gone sideways with their early relationship. He followed Cutter in noticing a mix of heaviness in his chest at being back in a place with so many, admittedly, somewhat emotional memories and the excitement that it was now not just Cutter's place but their place. "Looks like Becker kept a good eye on the place and kept it clean" Connor said as he walked in after Cutter. Once the door was closed behind them he walked over and took Cutter's hand in his. "I'm in the mood for something nice and warm. I'll get some water started. How does hot chocolate sound?"

Once it was set and starting to heat Connor jumped up and sat on the counter with a grin as he pulled Cutter over so he was standing between his legs. "You doing ok Nick?" he asked softly as he wrapped his arms around Cutter and pulled him closer and looked at him with a soft expression on his face. He had a feeling he knew what was on Cutter's mind. .
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter leaned against Connor, his first instinct was to say he was fine but he was trying to be better about being honest with his feelings, “it just feels strange to be back here …after everything,” he admitted softly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor tightened his hold on Cutter and rubbed his back gently. "I know... it's been a while. A lot has happened." Connor was silent for a moment as he ran a hand up to the back of Cutter's head and gently massaged it. "But you know what, it's ours now. We can work to make it our own" he said with a soft smile. "It will take time, and I know it will be hard sometimes. But I'm looking forward to starting this journey with you."

Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Well Lester did give us the week off" Connor said with a grin as he got their hot cocoa ready. Handing Cutter his cup a few minutes later he grinned. "So where shall we sit?"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled at that, "that's very true," he agreed, "how about on the couch?" he suggested as he held onto his cup, enjoying the feel of how nice the cup felt in his hands.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Sounds perfect" Connor nodded in agreement and went into the living room. He sat down on the couch and put his cocoa on the table beside him. With a broad grin he looked up at Cutter and held his arms open in an invitation.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter was only to happy to oblige as he put down his cup on the table and sat on the couch next to Connor curling up against Connor's chest and getting comfortable.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I could definitely get used to this" Connor said with a smile as he slipped his arms around Cutter and held him close, leaning back so they were both partly lying down on the couch. "I can still hardly believe we are engaged. That I get to spend the rest of my life with you Nick." .
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled as he happily leaned against Connor, "I could get used to this as well," he said contentedly, "and I know I can't believe it either, thank you for saying yes, I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"After everything we have been through together, married life will be a walk in the park!" Connor chuckled. "I can't wait to start building a life with you, building a home with you. Back in Fandom and here in London as well."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"I know we've got the best of both worlds," Cutter smiled as he thought about everything that lay ahead for them, "and we can start decorating here and choosing what we want to keep here and ..." he added, "we'll have to have Rex come here and have him choose a spot that he'll like,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Oh for sure! Rex will love it here! He can have his own space and he can stay here and at the ARC when we come for visits and work."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Absolutely, he'll have plenty of space around here as well and we'll have to buy him lots of new toys here as well," Cutter grinned because that was how it worked wasn't it?
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"And of course we can change out the furniture, get our own things set up... Couch... Bed..." Connor smiled "and then we can test them all out!' .
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Oh I like the sound of that," Cutter grinned, "we'll have to go furniture shopping, change things around, it will be fun," he especially liked the sound of the trying out the furniture.
