It had been another week since everything had happened with Danny and the house, Cutter and Connor had been working away at their anomaly prediction model, with Sarah continuing to get more and more research done. She was settling in well to the team, even though Becker seemed to be a little wary around her still.

“I never realised just how many myths and legends they’re actually were until we began to put the anomaly prediction model together,” Cutter remarked as they sat in the break room, going over the latest mythology books that Sarah had checked out of the library.

"Besides I can't get any experience if I don't go out in the field," Sarah pointed out, "I'll stay out of the way, collect the data on the anomaly, I'm helping work on the anomaly prediction model after all," she added.

"Fine. But you do as we say when we say understand? These things are dangerous." Becker looked around at Connor and Cutter and gave them a bit of a 'you brought her you keep her under control' look then started grabbing the bags and getting them into the truck.

"Alright lets go. Connor give me the coordinates to this thing so we know where we are heading" Becker said as he climbed into the truck and started off as soon as everyone was in and Connor read off the destination.

"Alright," Sarah said excitedly as she got in the front seat next to Becker, she was determined to eventually win him over,

"So when we're at the site, we'll need you to use one of Connor's devices to help gather information on the anomaly, it will help us correlate the data and can improve the mapping of the anomalies on the model," Cutter told her as they drove to the site.

Connor nodded and started going over the basics controls as he handed Sarah her device. He smiles proudly as he went over all the features.

"Looks like the coordinates are at the airport" Becker said once the destination came up. " Us that a good thing or a bad thing?" he asked as he looked back at Cutter.

"Well if we're lucky and there's no scheduled arrivals or departures, it will be a good thing," Cutter considered, "but if there's still people around, we're going to have to clear them before we can work on the data collection and securing the site,"

"Well let's hope for once theres an easier job ahead of us this time" Becker said as he turned onto the side street and continued on towards the airport.

"Any idea on what we are looking at as far as creature incursions Connor? We still have to be at the anomaly for that device of yours to work right?"

"Yeah... I don't have a remote network set up for it yet" Connor said apologetically.

Cutter nodded, "once we have an idea of what anomaly we're working with, we'll be able to get the data and then we can work on securing the anomaly," he added, "hopefully this time we won't have that many people around and we can just get straight to the data collection,"

"Well we can hope it works that way. Cuz we have about ten minutes till we get there so let's be ready to get going when we pull in ok?"

Becker kept his eyes on the road and focused ahead though did glance over to Sarah now and then.

Sarah was going over all the controls of the device Connor had given her, she gave a small shy smile at Becker as he looked over at her, "don't worry I'll be ready," she told him, "I've memorised how the controls work," she added confidently.

Connor looked over at Cutter and nodded. "We'll be ready Becker. We'll have this done in no time and we can be back at the ARC and have a relaxing rest of the day."

And that was not at all going to come back and bite them all.

Cutter nodded, "I mean we've already got the advantage of it being in a fairly isolated location right? We shouldn't have too much to do to get it secured and Sarah gets to experience her first field assignment," he smiled over at her.

Becker nodded as he pulled into the airport and proceeded to follow the route to where the anomaly was supposed to be located.

"Alright guys... and gal..." he said glancing at Sarah. "Look sharp and no goofing off. Let's get this taken care of with limited incident ok?"

"No incident, got it," Cutter gave Becker a grin that probably wasn't as reassuring as he thought it was, "Sarah let's go to the anomaly and start the data collection, Connor will you be alright setting up here?"

"Yeah, I'll get everything set up and bring over the set up when we are ready to try and lock the anomaly. Connor and I got the prototype ready and if you want, we can test it out and see how it works?"

Becker considered it a moment and nodded. "Alright, we'll give it a try if you can get it set up and working." Becker nodded to a couple of his men to stay with Connor and then he started heading off with Cutter an Sarah towards the anomaly.

"Okay according to the readings, the anomaly should be just a bit further up ahead," Cutter remarked as he stared down at his device while they walked, "and so far I don't see anyone around so it should just be a matter of containing the anomaly," he said hopefully.

"Good. Then lets go get this taken care of. Before anything goes wrong and we end up with a bigger mess on our hands" Becker said casting a quick glance at Sarah before heading off ahead of her and Cutter to start securing the anomaly as it came into view.

"He really doesn't like me doe she?" Sarah said watching Becker as he went. "Is he like this with everyone?' she asked looking over at Cutter.

"I wouldn't take it to personally," Cutter assured her, "he'll come round, he just takes his job very seriously, actually we had a bit of a rough introduction as well," he told her.

"Really?" Sarah's eyes were wide, "I don't believe that,"

"Aye, well it's a bit of a long story but basically when we first met, I tried to headbutt him and kick him, so ...really after that, you've got nothing to worry about," he added with a grin.

Sarah's eyes went wide at that and she gave a small laugh as she stared at Cutter. "Well I don't plan on throwing any punches so, that is good to know. He seems like a good guy really" she said with a fond smile. "I... is.... is he seeing anyone? I mean... if you know or if he's mentioned anything?"

Even for someone who could be quite oblivious, Cutter had noticed the occasional looks Becker and Sarah had given each other, "I don't think he's seeing anyone at the moment," he said thoughtfully, "he mentioned a girlfriend once but that sounds like it was a while ago, before I met him," he told her.

Sarah couldnt keep the small grin off her face at that. "Thats... thast good to know..."

"So.... this anomaly then" she said trying to get the grin off her face as she turned her attention to the task at hand. "We'll get some new readings and we can load this to the data we already have right?"

"That's right," Cutter told her, "in theory we should be able to take the data we've collected and add it to the anomaly prediction model, we'll be able to get more accurate predictions this way,"

"So.... what was it about.... creature incursions? Or something like that" Sarah asked trying to remember the exact wording. "What... what is that all about?"

"So that's when a creature will come through an anomaly, depending on the time period that the anomaly links back to," Cutter told her, "its our job to secure the site and make sure the creature goes back to the anomaly, if we can't send it back to the anomaly than we have to secure the creature and bring it back to the ARC but if its too dangerous, then we put the creature down," he told her, "but that last one is only as a last resort," he added quickly.

"And what kind of creatures are we talking about? I mean, bugs or anything like that?" Sarah asked giving a small shiver. "I really really don't like bugs and creepy crawlies."

"Uh ... bugs have been known to come through," Cutter looked at Sarah sympathetically, "we had a giant centipede as our second case and we've had parasites as well," he admitted, "but we have had raptors and even a mammoth come through," he added, he tried to not think about everything that had happened after that mammoth. "and Rex, he's a Coelurosauravus, I don't know if you've had a chance to meet him yet but he stays with Abby and Connor,"
