MHA #13 - Monday after classes

After class both Cutter and Connor realised that they really needed to do a major clean up of the flat, not only was there still the mess from their sundaes on the floor and the couch but there was also sand everywhere as well as all of there ‘treasures’ that there younger selves had proudly put on display.

“I can’t believe how much mess we made,” Cutter remarked as he took in the evidence of the mess from the weekend.

"Yeah well it was kinda to be expected seeing how Becker always wears black" Connor said with a chuckle of his own as he fondly remembered that day. He perked up a little at that idea from Cutter. "Oh good idea. We can make one shelf a place for little keepsakes and all like that. Kind of a Famdom memory collection. I think I still have that photo of you when you were a cat for that week. Could make a little display shelf of things from the Fandom oddities that happen?"

"Oh that is a really great idea," Cutter grinned at the idea, "it would be a nice way to officially mark us settling into life in Fandom together now that we've moved in, do you think Rex would mind us taking over one of the shelves for our memory collection?"

Connor looked up at Rex and smiled. "I'm sure he won't mind so long as he still gets the top ledge. What ya say Rex, you like the idea?" he asked as he held out his hand to see of Rex was finally ready to forgive them for the weekend. Rex tilted his head and looked down at them then gave a happy chirp as he jumped off the top of the shelf and glided around the room and then landed on Connor's shoulder and gave another happy chirp. "I think that counts as a yes!" he said with a grin as he looked at Cutter.

Cutter smiled warmly as he reached out to give Rex a pat, "you will definitely get the top ledge Rex," he assured him and then his smile widened at that, "well then I think its settled, maybe this week we could start working on the Fandom shelf?" he suggested.

What could possible be wrong with that?

"Sounds like a plan. But we will start with these two right now" Connor said as he carefully put the shell and bottle cap on the shelf with a grin. "We can work on getting the rest set up this week!"

There would be absolutely no reason this plan would fall though!

Cutter grinned as Connor went to put the shell and bottle cap up on the shelf, "it looks perfect," he said as he smiled fondly at those two mementos from the past weekend, "the shelf is going to look amazing when we get through finishing it and then it will almost be time to start decorating for Christmas," he added, his smile widening as he imagined spending his and Connor's first official Christmas together.

"Now that is something I am looking forward to" Connor said with a grin as he stepped back to stand beside Cutter and looked at the shelf. "Decorating for Christmas and celebrating with you. Sounds like a great way to wrap up this crazy and amazing year"he said as he leaned over and kissed Cutter.

Cutter was very happy to return that kiss, "it will be absolutely perfect," he said as he leaned into that kiss, "I know after this year, I will be looking forward to just being able to sit back and relax and enjoy Christmas with you,"

"Nice Christmas together... here... relaxing" Connor said between the kisses. "That sounds absolutely perfect to me" Connor smiled as he kissed Cutter again. The mess was momentarily forgotten, for much more enjoyable things at the moment.

“It really does, I’m really looking forward to it, I think after this year it will be just what we need, a nice relaxing Christmas,” Cutter smiled as he was happy to forget about the mess and keep the kiss going as long as possible.

Reluctantly Connor eventually broke the kiss and smiled. "How about we get this mess cleaned up and then we can enjoy the rest of the day together?" he asked with a playful smirk.

Cutter gave a smile at that and turned a little red, “it will be a nice reward for once we’re done cleaning,” he added.

"Looking forward to it" Connor said with a grin as he went back to the kitchen and began to clean, his face flushing a bit as he thought about the rest of the evening that was to come.

Cutter smiled shyly at that as he tried to focus on finishing up the stubborn bit of syrup that was still stuck to the sink, finally he managed to glean the dunk, “and the sink is now clean,” he declared.

It took a bit of scrubbing and work but the floors were soon clean as well. "Kitchen is done!" Connor declared with a grin. "Worst part is over. You want to tackle the vacuum bits or cleaning the couch?"

Cutter grinned at that, "I think I'll tackle the vacuuming bits," he considered, "if you're sure you don't mind cleaning the couch?"

"Don't mind at all" Connor said as he grabbed the cleaner and started to work on the chocolate sauce and ice cream stains. "You ok to get the vacuum out of the hall closet?"

"I'll be alright," Cutter grinned as he headed to the hall closet and took it out and he began to start work on vacuuming up all of the sand that they had trailed around the apartment, "I can't believe just how much sand we managed to bring back to the beach," he remarked.

Connor nodded as he stood in the living room by the couch and looked around. "It's like we were trying to bring the entire beach back with us!" he said with a laugh as he got rid of one chocolate stain and started working on the next one.

Cutter couldn't help but laugh at that, "it definitely seems that way," he said as he continued to vacuum the carpet, "I think half of the sand came from those buckets we brought back with us,"

"Yeah... we weren't all that careful with cleaning things off before we brought them back were we?" Connor said with a somewhat guilty grin. "And taking our shoes off at the end just meant they got full of sand too"

"Oh yes that's true as well and then all the sand in our clothes that we left just thrown around and spreading sand everywhere," Cutter grinned as he finished vacuuming one section of the carpet and moved on to the next one, "at least we didn't end up breaking anything, at least that I could find," he added.

"Aye we got off lucky with that bit for sure!" Connor said as he stood up and took a step back from the couch and looked it over. "I think I got it all" he said with a nod.

There was another round of vacuuming as Cutter made sure everything was finished and then he stopped, "and that's the vacuuming done, I think that looks a lot better now," he grinned.

"Much better! Back to my usual level of mess rather than little kids running amock level of mess" he said with a laugh as he went to put the rags and cleaning supplies away.

"I feel at this point I should apologise for my level of mess that I'm bringing to this apartment," Cutter said with a sheepish grin, "I mean its only a matter of time of time before books and papers end up everywhere in the apartment,"

"Well it can join my mess of papers and books and stuff too then" Connor said with a small grin. "Will be a small price to pay for having you here, for us being together like this" he added with a shy grin as his cheeks flushed slightly.

Cutter returned that shy grin, his own cheeks flushing, "I'm glad that we can have this opportunity to be together, I'm looking forward to living here with you, building a future with you,"

"Same. Whatever that future looks like, I'm glad it's you here beside me for it." Connor smiled softly then reached out and took Cutter's hand. "How about we go relax for a bit, I think we've earned it" he said with a smirk as he started towards the bedroom.

Cutter smiled as he gladly took Connor's hand and followed him to the bedroom, "oh I like the way you think," he said, looking forward to what the rest of the day held and spending it with Connor.
