Washington DC - Monday

The trip to the museum yesterday had proved to be very successful, Cutter had loved visiting and talking about everything with Connor and even with the other tourists who had mistaken him for a tour guide but he hadn’t minded answering the additional questions at all.

After a quick dinner yesterday and seeing some of the sights yesterday, Cutter and Connor decided to spend their last full day in Washington DC, doing a bit of shopping and eating out a nice restaurant … Lester was really not going to like his credit card bill after this.

They had found a nice clothes shop to start with, Connor had persuaded Cutter that he needed a new jacket and Cutter really had no idea what he was looking for.

“There are so many choices,” he marvelled as he looked at what jackets were on display.

"Sounds good" Connor agreed, returning the wink. "How about you look for a pair of gloves you would like me to wear? I'll look for the pants and shoes."

Cutter grinned at that, "I can definitely find you a pair of gloves," he smiled, blushing slightly, "I'll find you a really nice pair," he paused, "maybe a few pairs," he added and he went bright red at that.

"Sounds good," Connor said with a grin. "However many you like."

The whole gloves thing had always just been a personal preference for the most part. But now that he knew Cutter liked them, there was a whole other aspect to it... and it was something Connor was definitely enjoying figuring out.

Cutter smiled warmly at that, "so you don't mind if I pick out ten gloves for you to wear then?" he asked playfully as he looked over at the gloves section and realised that meant he would have to leave Connor for a bit, which he was reluctant to do but then the gloves weren't going to choose themselves, "I'll be right back," he promised and then after a small pause, he leaned in to give Connor a very quick kiss on the cheek.

"Easy there tiger," he said with a grin. "Let's start with a few and g ok from there alright?"

Connor smiled at the kiss.

"I'll have everything else by the time you get back."

"Alright just a few," Cutter grinned and then went over to pick out some gloves, he took his time, carefully examine how each one felt and after a while he had somehow managed to narrow it down to three because there had been a lot of really nice options.

He came back with a red pair, a black pair and a dark blue pair, "what do you think of these?" he asked as he came over.

It was really perfect timing because Connor had just finished picking out a nice pair of slacks and some new shoes.

He looked up at Cutter with a smile as he checked out the gloves he had chosen. He really did choose well, different materials and slightly different styles, though all three the necessary fingerless style in general.

"These are perfect, Nick. I love them" he said with a grin that goe even bigger as he continued. "Want me to go try everything on?"

Like you even had to ask Connor, based on Cutter's wide smile at that, the answer was a clear and resounding yes.

"Oh yes please," Cutter grinned at that, "I want to see how everything looks on you," he tilted his head a bit at the clothes that had been picked out and he was definitely blushing now as he did.

Connor nodded and took the stack of clothes and headed off to try everything on. It took him a little while- that was a lot of clothes to change into- but he finally walked out of the changing room and smiled as his gaze met Cutters.

"Well? How do I look?" he said, showing off the full look- jacket, shirt, tie, slacks, shoes, and gloves. He had the hat in his hands so he could show Cutter the look with and without. "Does it get the boyfriend's seal of approval?"

The way Cutter was beaming at that was definitely a seal of approval.

"Oh wow," and then he remembered that breathing was a thing and breathed out, "it gets more than the boyfriend's seal of approval," and then he walked over to Connor and leaned in to give him a quick kiss, "you look very handsome," he told him as he looked at him with a smile. "it's definitely a yes from me,"

Apparently Cutter liked to watch certain reality TV shows as well.

"I quite like it too" Connor said with a grin as he looked in the mirror and did a quick spin, more for Cutter than for himself, if he was honest about it.

"So the question of the hour though, Nick..." he said as he stopped and faced Cutter, a somewhat serious look on his face. "Tie?" he asked before taking it off and putting the scarf on, "or scarf?"

Connor knew which one he definitely preferred and what felt more normal to him, be he would definitely concede to whatever Cutter liked best.

Cutter smiled warmly as he watched Connor do a spin in front of the mirror, he carefully considered the two, taking his time even though he already knew for sure what one he wanted Connor to go with, “scarf,” he said, “definitely go with the scarf,”

"Scarf it is then" Connor said with a grin as he set the tie aside with the other clothes and took the scarf and started getting it done up right. It was a nice scarf, by far the most expensive one he had ever had, and was a nice black and red color, and a very very nice material too. Connor had instantly fallen in love with it.

He looked up and saw Cutter staring and smiled warmly. "Can I get a hand?" he asked waving a hand at the scarf. Of course he could manage the scarf himself, but where was the fun in that?

Cutter grinned as he happily went over to assist Connor with the scarf and enjoyed the feel of the fabric as he helped tie it around Connor’s neck, “I think you made a very good choice with the scarf,” he smiled happily and leaned in to give Connor a quick kiss.

Connor returned the kiss and grinned. "It's a nice one that's for sure" Connor said.

"So anything else we want before we head out for those dinner reservations?"

Cutter smiled happily, “I think I’ve got everything that I need to get plus extra,” he smiled as looked down at the pile of clothes that he now had, “is there anything else you want to pick up?”

"I'm more than good," Connor said. And that was the truth. The only other thing he might think abut getting wasn't for himself, and he wasn't going to spend Lester's money on it anyways.

"Shall we then?" he asked as he picked up his pile of clothes and held out his free hand to Cutter as he started towards the checkout.

“Of course,” Cutter grinned as he took Connor’s hand, adjusting his pile of clothing and followed him to the checkout.

"I think this counts as a very VERY successful shopping trip, and a great way to kick off the night," Connor said with a grin as they finished buying (with Lester's unwilling help) everything. "Would you do me the honor of accompanying me for dinner?" he asked as he held out his arm to Cutter, his bags held in the other.

"It was a very successful shopping trip," Cutter said with a warm smile, as he was handed back the credit card and receipt he put it away for safekeeping until dinner, he used his free arm to link it through Connor's, "I humbly accept and would be honoured to accompany you to dinner," and oh look the blushing had returned again.

Blushing was probably going to be a standard accessory for the evening, which was perfectly fine by Connor as he hooked his arm with Cutters and leaned over and pressed a quick kiss to his temple and led them on toward their next destination.
