A Safehouse - London

[itsananomaly]

Sarah had gotten up early and made breakfast for the team, once breakfast was over she waited in the living room for Connor so that they could begin exploring the safehouse properly and see what else was hidden away that might be useful if they needed to extend their stay there another week or so, "I thought starting here in the living room might be the best place to start, what do you think?" [adapted in parts from Series 3 episode 6 'For the Birds'. Preplayed with the amazing anomaly_research_nerd. NFB for distance but OOC welcome!]

Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Sounds good to me" Connor said with a nod as he grabbed one last piece of bacon off the plate as he stood from the table. He followed Sarah into the living room and glanced around as he munched on the bacon strip. "Around here I think it would be something like a fake wall or a bookcase or something that could be handing a secret space" he said after a moment. There no space really for a hidden area up in the attic area, and I think the supports under the house right here are wrong for a trap door setup or anything."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"It's almost like a scavenger hunt," Sarah considered as she started to look over the walls to see if there was any kind of loose panel that would indicate it was a much bigger space, "I think this place has definitely got a few secrets of its own, I mean it's probably been used as a safehouse a few times, even though it does look like it hasn't been used for a while before us so we might not find too much,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Yeah, there's gotta be some hiding spots around here somewhere. A safehouse usually does..." not that he had a lot of experience hiding away in safehouses or anything. "But yeah there could be something somewhere..." Connor said as he started knocking at the boards along the wall looking for any empty space behind."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Hopefully we can find something useful if we need to extend our stay here," Sarah said softly, "I mean I know we checked out the rooms earlier on but a thorough search just in case we missed something - maybe even some cash if we can find it, I think some of those wine bottles in the kitchen have to be worth something,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Couple thousand if what Danny and Becker were saying the other day when we cracked one open for dinner" Connor said with a chuckle. "Might find a way to get something for them without blowing our cover." Connor moved down the wall knocking every so often as he went. He shook his head as he looked over to Sarah with a slightly disappointed look. No loose panels or secret spaces here it seemed.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Maybe a few of us can disguise ourselves and go into the nearest town to try and sell a couple of bottles if worse comes to worse and we needed to raise cash fast for supplies?" Sarah considered as she felt behind a bookcase to see if anything had been stashed there, she could feel something and she pulled it out. "Oh it's just some old papers, a few of these look like diary entries," she considered the papers in her hand as she handed them to Connor, "I don't know if these will be useful to us though,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Could always send Jenny or I could head out and give it a try and.... Ok ok, I will stay here" he said with a worried laugh as he saw the look Sarah gave him at the mention of him leaving the safe house. He rubbed the back of his head and looked at the papers she had found, trying to chang the subject as he leaned over to take a look at them. "That's interesting... it could give us something to read and mull over if nothing else" Connor considered as he took the papers and glanced at them. "Nick and I have finished pretty much all we can do with the artifact in these conditions. So this might give us something to work on if we get too bored." Connor glanced around the living room. "Think we checked all the likely places around here. Shall we move on to the next room then and take a look?"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Yes Sarah was still giving you a rather doubtful look for suggesting that Connor. “Yes I think sending Jenny would be best, she’s got heaps of contacts and if she needed to meet one incognito I think she could do that,” Sarah nodded. “These are quite old papers,” Sarah noted as well, “maybe they’re from the last group who stayed here?” she wondered and then nodded at the last part, “I think we should move on to the next room,” she agreed.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Right, we can work on deciphering these later" Connor said as he set the papers down, and followed Sarash into the next room. It was one of the other bedrooms and as they walked around,Connor remembered something from one of the first days they had arrived. "There might be a fake wall or something here somewhere" he said as he started to feel along the closest wall. "From the outside, it looks like this room should be bigger. It's like the walls inside and outside don't quite line up. Room looks a good three feet or so smaller inside... which means one of these could be a fake wall with a compartment space behind it"he said hopefully.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	“Oh that could be brilliant if there is,” Sarah grinned at that as she began to start tapping along the wall panels to see if she could find the wall that was fake, “so far this side of the wall doesn’t look promising,” she sighed when her search came up empty.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor kept checking his wall and then paused, giving one area a couple of extra taps as his eyes went wide. "I think I might have found it" he said with an excited grin. He began fiddling with the boards looking for the access point. "Ha found it!" He managed to swing open the hidden door panel to reveal a small space behind the wall.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Oh wow that is incredible," Sarah grinned as she looked curiously at the small space, "I wonder what's hidden back there? It must be something pretty important if they went to all the trouble of hiding it like this,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor leaned closer and reached into the space as far as his arm would let him and felt around for a moment. "Ok... there's something here" he said as his fingers brushed against something cold and hard that felt like it was made of metal. Carefully pulling it out he saw it was a small tin, coated in a layer of thick dust. "Wonder whats inside?" he asked as he handed it over to Sarah.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah studied the tin thoughtfully, "I guess there's one way to fine out," she carefully tried to open the tin. It was stuck at first but after a few moments of tugging, she eventually got the tin lifted. "Let's see what's inside," she peered in, brushing a layer of dust off the contents, "oh wow ... look at all of this Connor," she said excitedly as she began to shift through everything.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor leaned over Sarah's shoulder and looked at the contents and his eyes went big. "Are... are those actual 50 pound notes?" he asked. "What the hell were they stocking up for that they needed that much money?"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah carefully picked up one of the notes and had a close look at it, "it seems genuine," she said as she looked at the wad of cash that had been stacked in there, "there must be close to a $1000 in here, which I'm guessing is why they needed to store a couple of these revolvers in here, do you think they're armed still?" she looked back at Connor.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	""Wouldn’t have a clue" Connor said. There was a reason he had never been allowed to use a gun much before. "Better take them to Danny and Becker. They are definitely the firearms experts around here." Connor looked from the revolvers back to the cash. It was an impressive stack to be sure. "We really only have the back store room to look through again if we still wanted to... I don't think there's anything in the other bedrooms."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah nodded and carefully closed the tin, not wanting to disturb the guns too much in case they were still live , “I think we should check the back storeroom just to be on the safe side, I mean this stash alone will definitely come in handy if we need to make an emergency dash to the shops, so I think we should have a look to see what’s there just in case we find another hidden compartment with something like this in it” she said, looking down at the tin.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Right, I agree. So.... why don't you go drop that off with Becker and Danny and I will start checking out the store room. Meet you back there in a bit and we will see what we can find?" Connor was hopeful that after a find like this, they would find something else good in the storeroom they had overlooked. More money or weapons, a stockpile of food... or something else useful.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Okay I'll go and do that," Sarah smiled, glad that they had found something that would be useful for the team, "I'll see you shortly," A short while later, after spending some time talking with Becker and Danny and explaining what she and Connor had found, Sarah left the tin with the cash and weapons with them and then returned to meet Connor in the store room. "Danny and Becker are going to have a look at the guns," Sarah told Connor, "have you found anything in here yet?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Yes" Connor called out excitedly, his head and most of his upper body inside the closet. "There's another compartment back here we overlooked. I... I don't think there's much in here though.... just... clothes, it looks like..." A moment later Connor appeared with a stack of closed that had been carefully folded and bagged before being placed in the cubby.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah's eyes lit up as she took in all the clothes, "oh my Connor, these are incredible, they look vintage ... just look at this, I wonder what these would be like to try on," she wondered as she took in a lovely mauve red dress.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Well let's show the gang... could give us something to do at least. See what these are and if by some miracle they actually fit some of us..." Connor glanced through the pile and oddly enough there seemed to be a good number of jackets and matching slacks so,they might actually be able to pull something off. "Hey guys! You'll never guess what we found!" he called out as he and Sarah brought the clothes into the living room.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter came out of the room where the artefact was, there was still no change in the artefact and he wasn't sure what other tests he could run. "What did you find?" he asked, wondering what Connor and Sarah had found.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Got some really cool outfits here. Looks like suits and fancy dresses too" Connor said with a grin as he and Sarah started laying the outfits out on the couch and chair. "looks like there's enough for each of us too..." "I ain't wearing a dress, sorry mate" Danny said with a smirk as he walked gingerly back into the room. "What's the matter Quinn? Afraid to show a little leg?"Becker quipped from where he was sitting in one of the chairs.
Cutter(anomaly_research_nerd)	"That's okay I'm more than prepared to wear a dress," Jenny grinned as she started to look at a nice teal blue dress, "I think this one has my name on it," Cutter looked over one of the suits, after everything they had been through, a fancy dress party didn't sound too bad, "maybe we could try these on, see if they fit?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"So that's two dresses for the lovely ladies" Becker said with a glance over at Sarah and then to Jenny. "What else we got there?" Connor started checking the various suit and jacket outfits and then handed on to Cutter. "Nick,this one might be good for you... and Danny, this one just screams your name" he said with a laugh as he handed over a dark blue tweed jacket to Cutter and an off white suit combo to Danny.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled as he looked over the dark blue tweed shirt, rather excited to be able to try it on and see what it looked like "so it looks like there's two suits left for you and Becker then," he said as he looked at what was left out of the clothing options.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Aye, I think I will take this one" Connor said, setting aside the simple grey suit and he looked at Becker. "That means this one is yours," he grinned as he handed the suite over to Becker. "Pinstripes? Really? You can't be serious?" Becker said as he stared at the red striped suit jacket he was holding just then.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter couldn't help but giggle at Becker's reaction, "I don't know I think out of all of us you could pull it off," he grinned. "Hey now I think Becker will look very handsome in his suit," Sarah spoke up as she gave him an encouraging smile. "Besides we'll match with the colour," she added shyly.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker's cheeks might have flushed a little at that comment from Sarah. Maybe. There was no way to prove it and he would deny it. But he smiled and took the outfit all the same. "Great so, let's go get changed and we can meet back here to compare?" Connor said, already eggar to see how Cutter looked in his. "Ok... I'm still not sold on this suit though!" Becker called out as Jenny and Sarah started giggling as they headed back to their room to get changed.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter grinned and he took his Suit and went to go and change. He was delighted to find that not only the suit fit him but it actually well suited him rather well. He smiled as he looked at himself in the old mirror that was in the room, feeling the most relaxed and happy that he had felt since everything had happened. A short time later he left the room to meet up with the others, curious to see how everyone else looked and yes he was also eager to see how Connor looked.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor had just as much success with his suit, finding that it fit him surprisingly well and even came with the necessary hat tofinish off the look ! He left a moment later after a quick glance at his reflection and did a small spin in the doorway as he walked into the living room to show Cutter as they waited for everyone else to get dressed.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	And Cutter smiled warmly as he took in Connor's appearance, admiring just how nice the suit that he was wearing was, "now that is one very nice suit," he complimented Connor, "I can't believe just how well these suits actually fit us,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I know right? It's really weird... but also cool" Connor said then he took a moment to admire Cutter's impressive threads. "And you make that suit look ten times better Nick" he said with a playful wink. Any further flirting and teasing was put to an end when a moment later it was Danny that joined them. "Well boys what do ya think?" He asked as he stood in the doorway, showing off the admittedlywell fitting suit he had been given
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that he couldn't keep flirting with Connor in his suit but he turned to get a good look at Danny dressed very smartly in his suit, "not bad at all Quinn," Cutter grinned at that, "I think that suit was made for you," A moment later Jenny and Sarah returned wearing their very well fitted dresses, Jenny in blue and Sarah in red , "so what do you think?" Jenny grinned as she gave a twirl for their audience. Sarah giggled and blushed as she showed off hers.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Beautiful as ever ladies" Danny said with a big grin. "Very nice." After taking a moment to appreciate the dresses, Danny realized they were still one person short. "Oiy. Becker, it's your time mate! Let's see what ya got there!" "Absolutely not!" came the reply from the other room. "I look ridiculous in this thing!"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Come on Becker," Sarah encouraged, "I bet you look very handsome in your suit, please come out and show us," she pleaded.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker hesitated a moment then slowly walked out into the living room and joined the others. His arm was out of the sling-for now- still held gingerly against his chest somewhat painfully. He stood in the doorway a moment to give them a look at the suit. "See? Told ya I'd look ridiculous in this- pinstripes and color? What were you thinking Connor?" he asked with a look of betrayal on his face.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Oh look how handsome you are Becker," Sarah smiled as she went over to him, she helped him adjust his collar and tie and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "See we match," she twirled around in her dress to show it off for him.
Becker(thearcfamily)	There was no hiding or denying the flush on his cheeks at that kiss. Becker smiled as he watched Sarah showing off the dress, it was quite the big smile to be honest. "You look absolutely lovely Sarah" he said with a sincere nod as he held out his good arm to her.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled shyly as she took his offered arm, and her own cheeks blushed at the compliment, "I think while we're all dressed up we should have a party," she suggested as she looked around at the group, as she stayed very close to Becker.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Well, guess nows as good a time as any to use one of those pricy bottles of wine we found," Danny said. "And after everything, I think we have earned ourselves a little downtime. Party sounds like a great way to spend the evening. What ya say, Cap'n?" Becker looked over at Danny then to the rest of the team. He nodded as he looked over at Sarah, who was still holding onto his arm. "I think it sounds great. We don't have much in the way of party food, but... I'm sure Sarah and I can whip something up."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled shyly up at Becker, "we'll definitely find something Becker, I'm sure between the two of us we'll be able to make some food for the party, especially if we're having one of those wine bottles as well, we can try to make it as fancy as possible,"
Becker(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Well let's get at it then shall we?" Becker asked as he started leading Sarah towards the kitchen, arm still linked with hers as he leaned over and gave her a soft quick kiss on the top of her head. He gave a quick glance over at Danny and a small barely noticeable nod as he smiled and headed off to the kitchen with Sarah,
Sarah(thearcfamily)	And Sarah blushed bright red at that as she happily held onto his arm and followed him to the kitchen. She had no idea what they could make but she was looking forward to spending more time with Becker, “so what do you think we should try and make?” she asked as she glanced at the pantry, she knew there wasn’t a lot of choice they had but she knew they’d be able to come up with something.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled as he finally let go of Sarah and leaned against the counter for a few minutes as he considered their options. "We could do up something easy and that we can stretch a bit if needed? Im pretty sure Connor had a stock pile of chips and stuff that they grabbed from the break room. Could make up some salsa or dip and junk food it tonight?" "Did bring the chips!" Connor called from the door way, confirming that they did have that as an option, but also blowing his cover that he was listening in to see what Becker and Sarah were saying. "I mean....ummm...."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	“I know a really good salsa recipe,” Sarah offered, her blush going deeper as she realised that they had an audience, “but I think junk food and fancy wine sounds like a pretty good evening,”
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Sounds good to me. We'll work on the food. Connor and the others can start getting the place set up" Becker said as he cast a 'you can go now' smirk towards Connor. "On it" Connor said with a nod. "We'll got clear up the living room and maybe figure out some music and stuff for tonight" he said as he gave Becker a grin and then disappeared into the other room. "So... now that we are actually alone..." Becker said, his stomach flipping a little as he looked at Sarah, willing himself to do it before he lost his nerves... again. He leaned over and placed a light, hesitant, almost unsure kiss on Sarah's lips before pulling back and watching her, trying to read her reaction in her eyes.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah’s expression was one of surprise at first and then she looked pleased and her blush deepened. Then she hesitated and then leaned in to give Becker a kiss on the lips, slowly wrapping her arms around him as she did.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled, relieved at that response. He wrapped an arm around Sarah's waist lightly, and with a slight wince, he lifted his bad arm and ran a finger under her chin and smiled at her. Becker returned the kiss softly, carefully, as he held Sarah close.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah leaned in close to Becker as she kissed him, her heart beating loudly as she did, she had never thought anything like this would be possible when she first joined the ARC. She had fantasised about being with Becker but never thought that anything could happen and here she was, being so close to him and kissing him.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker kept the kiss going for a little while then pulled back with a smile. He didn't want to stop. He could have stood there all night... well if his body was in better shape he could have. "How about you help me get this arm back into the sling and we can get started?" he asked, his eyes shining a bit as he looked down at Sarah fondly. "And I'm sure there are more of those where that came from" he added with a small wink, referring to the kiss they had just shared.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Oh I'm going to hold you to that Captain Becker," Sarah said, her eyes twinkling as she gazed up Becker, "and I can definitely help with your sling, you did very well keeping it out of the sling for as long as you did," she told him softly.
Becker(thearcfamily)	He didn't know why but that simple little comment, that quick but sincere praise and encouragement... Becker felt his face flush slightly at that. He had been really trying to focus on getting better. The leg was still bothering him a lot, making him sit or lean on things a lot more than he liked. But he was at least out of the bed. And the arm was slowly improving, Becker just hoped he could get use and strength back to it soon. It had been a lot of hard, often painful work, and it felt good to have someone notice. Becker smiled as he handed the sling over to Sarah so she could help him and he smiled. "Always got one waiting whenever you want" he said with a playful grin before biting his lip slightly against the pain in his arm as he tried to get it in position. He might have overdone it just a hair that night.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah was instantly concerned, "are you alright Becker?" she asked gently, as she got the sling ready so she could put it back on Becker's arm, "do you need to rest a bit?" She knew that he wouldn't want that but she wanted to him to know that it was okay if he did want to take a moment to rest before they started preparing the food.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"I'll be fine" Becker said and then sighed as he looked at Sarah. He knew he had to stop being so overly proud and stop accepting help when he needed it. Especially with the situation they were all in. "But maybe I... I'll just sit down for a bit?" he said with a nod towards the small table and chair set up in the corner of the kitchen.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah nodded, "you can rest as long as you need Becker, we've got plenty of time," she said gently as she placed a gentle hand on his good shoulder, "I can start to get us ready for making salsa if you'd like to rest for a bit?"
Becker(thearcfamily)	With his arm back in the sling Becker nodded and sat down at the table, moving the chair as he did so he could watch Sarah while she worked. He watched her quietly for a moment before he spoke up again, a small smile on his face as he did. "Thank you, Sarah. For.. everything..." Did that everything include the help with his recovery, the hard work she was doing with the artifact,the way she had stepped up and helped with him and Quinn out of commission, the support she gave him through his recovery, the kiss? It was honestly all of that, and Becker could only hope Sarah knew how much it all meant to him.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled shyly at that as she began to get the ingredients out that she needed to start work on the salsa, "you're welcome Becker," she said softly, her cheeks going red at that, "I'm happy to help, with you and the team, being able to do my part, I just hope my part is enough," she knew she had been doing a lot of work but at the same time she felt rather inadequate compared to Cutter and Connor and Jenny, she always felt her efforts weren't to the same level.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker watched her for a moment, those words rattling around in his head. Then a few moments later he stood again and walked over to Sarah and took her hand in his as he looked down at her intently. "You do more than enough Sarah. You have been amazing for the team. Cutter and Connor might be the brains of the team. Jenny might be the tenacity the team needs. Quinn and I might be the brawn of the group. But you, Dr. Sarah Page, are the heart of the group that keeps us going. Don't ever doubt your value to us... to me" Becker said as he lifted his hand to gently stroke Sarah's face as he smiled.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	And Sarah smiled softly at that, both at Becker's words and him gently stroking his face, "thank you Becker," she said quietly, "that means a lot ... I ... I guess when you're in a group full of amazing people, its easy to start to doubt your worth,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	"You aren't the only one" Becker said with a nod toward his re-slinged arm and tried to push back the nagging fear and that voice that was oh so insistent on telling him just how useless he was to the team right now. "We all have our spot to fill to keep the team together. And I am glad we have you with us, Sarah."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	“and I’m glad to be here with the team and here with you Becker,” Sarah smiled softly at that, “I’m glad our paths crossed that day at the museum, otherwise I might not have had the chance to work with you,”
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Aye, I'm glad we where there... i might never have met ya otherwise" Becker smiled, almost sadly as he ran his fings over Sarah's cheek, trying to push back the though that she very well could have been killed had the team not been there to deal with the anomaly and the incursion. "It was quite the outing for my first official anomaly response as part of the team" he said with a small laugh.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled at that, as she enjoyed the feel of Becker stroking her cheek and this intimate moment between them, “I thought it was some joke you guys were pulling at first,” she admitted, “even though I have to say it’s nice to be here and not giving tours to schoolchildren,” she admitted.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Glad you are here, Sarah..." he whispered as he leaned in and kissed her softly. A light kiss but a honest one and then he pulled back and smiled. "Now, what do you need me to do for this salsa?"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah blushed at the kiss and smiled up at Becker as he pulled back from the kiss. “Well would you like to stir the ingredients? The recipe calls for a food processor but I guess food processors weren’t around the last time someone stocked up this kitchen,” she smiled.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Aye that I can do" Becker said, even though he was limited to doing thing one-handed, that he should be able to handle. "This is gonna be a good salsa, there's no question about that." Becker smiled, his cheeks still a little flushed. Things might be a little hectic and stressful with everything going on... but right now, tonight things were good. "You behaving yourself out there Quinn?" Becker called out as he and Sarah worked.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"He's being the perfect gentleman," it was Jenny who answered as she bit back a laugh at seeing Danny's expression of mock hurt, "don't worry we won't let him misbehave too much,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Oh hey now, I have a reputation as a bad boy to uphold... you can't be going and saying things like that!" he said with a laugh and a quick wink at Jenny. "Good to see Becker is enjoying himself though."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny gave Danny a pointed look at that but she laughed, "well that's why you have the rest of us to keep you in line," she grinned, "and I'm glad Becker's able to relax a bit and that he's getting on so well with Sarah, I've seen all those glances they kept giving each other when they thought no one was looking,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Yeah, she and solider boy are cute together" Danny said with a smirk. For all his teasing and trolling, he was really happy for Becker and Sarah. And he had been more than happy to step aside and let the get to know each other. Danny was silent a moment then turned and looked at Jenny, tilting his head slightly as he did. "You doing alright yourself, Jenny?"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"I'm ..." Jenny hesitated, "I guess I'm hanging in there as best I can, I'm worried about James and the others, I still can't get a hold of them at the ARC," she sighed, "I know they're capable of taking care of themselves but I'm still worried," she admitted softly, "how about you Danny, how are you holding up?" she had noticed that he seemed to be improving each day but she knew his injuries had been a lot and it was taking a lot longer to recover from.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Im sure Gu'v is fine" Danny said as he bit his lip slightly. "He and the others probably have some big plan in the works to deal with Christine and they are getting thing in order. Laying low and handling things just fine, like they always do."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny nodded at that, "you're right, James will come up with something, he knows people in high places and if anyone can get us out of this, it will be him," she just wished she felt more confident than she sounded.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Shes a hard one... Christine. And Wilder is a man with no remorse. But I don't think they are gonna win, Jenny. I don't." Danny might have been also trying to convince himself more than anything. A few minutes later he stood and made his way to the window and peered out for a few moments. "Ya know Jenny. No one says it enough but, you are doing a great job. With the team and all" Danny said with a small smile as he looked over at Jenny.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny gave a small smile at that, "thank you Danny," she said softly, "that means a lot, I ... the last thing I want is the team to fall apart, we need to stay together if we want to stop Christine and Wilder but sometimes ..." her voice trailed off as she thought back to Cutter and his failed attempt to turn himself into Christine, "that's easier said than done, I feel like I need an extra set of eyes at the back of my head to try and stay on top of everything,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Well, if you ever need it I'm here Jenny. Ya know I got he brawns I also got the brains" Danny said with a self-confident smirk, before it softened a bit. "You are doing an amazing job, but ya don't have to go at it alone... especially now with me a bit less than cleared for any of my regular duties. Gu'v put a lot on your shoulders. More than he should have honestly."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled warmly at that, "I might take you up on that Danny, I could definitely use the extra set of hands but I don't want you to push yourself to much, you're only just starting to come back to regular duties," she added softly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Ah, but you'd be doing me a favor really. I can't just keep siting around. I have to do something... useful" Danny said, biting that last word out a bit. He was still feeling useless and was eggar to get back to something resembling usefulness.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"You have been useful Danny," Jenny said gently, "it's because of you and Becker that we were able to escape from Christine in the first place, that we can protect Cutter and Connor out here, you took a great personal risk to get the warning to us and we can make contingency plans and figure out exactly what Christine and Wilder are up to,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Nice of ya to say such" Danny said with a nod. "Got a lot still to do... Gu'v told me to keep the team alive... keep the team together. And I've not done that. Not with them stuck at the ARC, us stuck here, and Christine and Wilder still tramping around doing whatever they want."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, "you've kept us alive though Danny," she said softly, "that's the main thing, it might take us a while to regroup, before we can come up with a definitive plan of action against Christine and Wilder, they've been two steps ahead of us but now that you got the artefact from them ... well they no longer have it and we can use it against them, you got that to us ... you gave us this to work with,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny managed a small smile at that. "Thanks Jenny. I... I know I'm the new guy here all, and that I've got some pretty impressive shoes to fill" he added with a nod towards where Cutter was sitting talking with Connor. "Your help and support had meant a lot. I appreciate it... I know I'm a bit rough around the edges at times...so I guess, what I'm trying to say is thanks, for not having Becker pistol whip me. Pretty sure I deserved it on more than on occasion."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled at that, "and you've been doing a wonderful job, especially with how chaotic everything has been with Christine," she assured him, "it's been a big ask but you've more than stepped up to the task and we're grateful for everything you've done for us," there was a pause, "and I wouldn't have had Becker pistol whip you, as tempting as it was in the beginning," she grinned.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Much appreciated. Gotta protect these rugged good looks after all." And yes Danny was being somewhat serious with that. But then his tone softened. "We're gonna get through this. Christine is crazy and Wilder is insane. But they are no match for all of us eh?"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"We're definitely stronger together," Jenny nodded, her own tone going soft, "I think we're still in for a rough patch but I think between all of us we can pull through this, our goal is to stop Christine and Wilder and keep Cutter and Connor away from them, so far we're managing that ... we're all going to be fine Danny," she said softly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Aye, we will... this is one of the best teams I have ever been a part of. And ya know what? I think we all have earned this night. Just to relax, forget everything... just for one night." Danny grinned and glanced over towards the other bedroom. "Think those two are already enjoying the night off?" he asked with a smirk.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled as her gaze followed Danny's direction where Cutter and Connor were sitting and talking, "I think they are definitely looking forward to the enjoying the evening," she smiled fondly, pleased to see them look quite happy and relaxed with everything going on, "I think this evening will be good for all of us," she added, "I think it will be good to help keep them distracted,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Thankfully, Connor was a bit too distracted to realize that he and Cutter were being talked about. Truth be told, he had already lost track of the time. Becker and Sarah had sequestered themselves in the kitchen and Dany and Jenny were in the living room. So of course Connor had dragged Cutter into the bedroom so they could have a little privacy. "You look amazing," Connor said, probably for the tenth time that evening as he sat on the edge of the bed and looked at Cuter.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	And Cutter had happily let himself be dragged into the bedroom, pleased for the chance to spend some time with Connor. He blushed at the compliment and he definitely didn't mind that it wasn't the first time Connor had said that that evening, he reached a hand over to Connor's cheek and gave it a gentle stroke, "and you look incredible as well," he smiled, "I can't believe that these clothes actually fit all of us,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Aye, lucky break for us no? I definitely think we have to get you a suit like this when we get back home, Nick" Connor said softly as he leaned into that touch and closed his eyes, just soaking it all in, enjoying being there right then, with Cutter.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Only if we get you into a suit like yours as well," Cutter said with a grin as he kept his hand on Connor's cheek tenderly, "I think we should have nights like this more often where we dress up, maybe go for a dinner or something like that?" he suggested.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"An excuse to see you in a suit and tie more often? You'll get no complaints from me. Regular dinner dates sound amazing" Connor said as he reached out and gave the tie Cutter was wearing a gentle tug, pulling him closer as he shifted back on the bed a little more.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter grinned at that, "then its a date then," he said happily, "or dates rather," and then his smile widened as Connor pulled at his tie and drew him in closer, as Connor shifted back, Cutter took a moment to gaze happily at Connor at how close they were being and then he leaned in to give him a kiss.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	The closeness was nice. Very nice. And Connor would never get tired of it. He smiled up at Cutter and closed his eyes as they kissed, Connor returning the kiss as he tugged on the tie again slightly, not wanting to damage it but still finding he couldn't keep his hands off it at the same time.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter happily leaned into that kiss and felt a thrill as Connor began to tug at his tie, enjoying the feel of it very much and let out a soft moan at that. He kept the kiss going for as long as possible, not wanting it to end.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor moaned softly and leaned into the kiss, deepening it as he pulled Cutter closer with the tie. He didn't care where Cutter ended up, he just wanted him closer, and wanted to be able to kiss him and touch him more easily.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	And Cutter was very happy to be pulled in closer as he kept that kiss going, moaning softly as Connor went deeper. He leaned on top of Connor, a hand gently rubbing his chest as he kept kissing him.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor moaned at the touch and feel of Cutter's hands on his chest/ He wished there were fewer clothes, or no clothes at all, getting in the way. But it did still feel nice and with the one hand still gently keeping hold of the tie, Connor slid his other hand up to the back of Cutter's head and ran his finger through his hair.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter couldn't stop the small cry that escaped at the feel of Connor's hand at the back of his head and his fingers going through his hair, with Connor still holding his tie, he leaned further into the kiss and he slowly ran his hand up and down Connor's chest
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Nick..." Connor gasped as he reluctantly broke the kiss to catch his breath. He looked up at him as a tremble escaped him and he smiled, then leaned back in to kiss the side of his neck, an "i love you Nick" escaping as he did.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter trembled, taking a moment to catch his breath, "I love you too Connor," he said softly, moaning at the kisses on his neck, as Connor kissed his neck, he gently leaned his forehead against Connor's, appreciating just how intimate this moment they were sharing was. "I love you so much,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor wanted nothing more than to take his jacket off, he rid of his annoying tie, and just curl up in the bed with Cutter and never leave. But they couldn't. This night wants just theirs, it was the teams. So the suits had to stay on. For now. And for now Connor was just going to enjoy the moment as he pulled Cutter down to sit on the bed beside him and turned to face him and continued the kiss.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter was also longing for the chance to remove some clothing but he knew that would defeat the purpose of their fancy dress night that they were having with the team and there would be other night's where it would be just him and Connor being alone. He happily let Connor pull him down to sit on the bed and continue the kiss, once they were seated he took his hand and placed it on Connor's back, giving it a gentle caress as he continued the kiss as long as he could.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"After everything..." Connor said softly. "After all... this..." he said as he laid a hand over Cutter's free hand and squeezed it gently. "It's... it's nice to be like this... together."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"It is, I've missed this ... I've missed us," Cutter trembled as Connor gave his hand a squeeze, "I'm glad that we can be together after everything, that we can have moments like this,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I... I was afraid for a while... that we would never have this again" Connor said softly as he looked at Cutter. "Im glad we are here... that we made it. Im glad we still have each other, even after everything that has happened."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	“I was afraid too,” Cutter replied softly, “I’m also glad that we can be together again, that we can be together after everything, I’ve really missed this,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I won't ever make that mistake again..." Connor said as he pulled Cutter closer. "I don't ever want to not be with you, Nick."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	“I won’t make that mistake either, I won’t ever push you away again Connor, I promise,” Cutter said softly as he was pulled in closer, “I love you so much,” and then he leaned in to kiss him.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Always gonna be here for you Nick. For us" Connor said softly "There is nothing that can come between us. I will always love you" he said with a sigh as he went back to kissing him softly. All he wanted was to stay here, like this. But the smells coming from the kitchen and the music from the living room let him know that their time, for now, was running short. "We'll continue this later?" he asked with a playful smirk.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	“and I will always love you,” Cutter blushed deeply at that as he kept the kiss going a little longer and then reluctantly stopped, “I’ll look forward to it,” he grinned and then glanced in the direction of the door, “I guess we better join the others,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Aye... it will be good, Nick..." Connor said with a smile as he gave Cutter one last kiss and then stood and helped him stand. "Let's go enjoy the night together with the team... you sexy handsome devil you," Connor said with a smirk as he adjusted Cutter's tie and tried to smooth it out a bit.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter gladly returned the kiss and was grateful for the help to stand up then, Cutter's blush deepened even more at the last part and he tried to smooth out Connor's shirt as Connor adjusted his tie. "I'm looking forward to it," he grinned, “it will be nice for the team to have another nice evening,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Shall we?" Connor asked as he held his arm out to Cutter with a grin. "Think everything is ready. Let's get this party started eh?" Connor grinned broadly when he led Cutter out of the room and towards the living room.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter followed Connor out of the room, holding onto his arm happily as they rejoined the others for the party. He was looking forward to the party and he was also looking forward to spending time with Connor after the party. A wireless was playing classical music and Becker and Sarah had brought out the salsa and plates of chips and other snacks they had been able to find, "this looks really great," he smiled as he took in the room.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor was practically beaming as he walked out with Cutter. Everything looked great, and considering the circumstances the fact that they were able to have a party at all was an amazing thing indeed. "It's bloody amazing guys... really, this all looks amazing."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah grinned as she brought out some plates and napkins, "everything really came together, didn't it?" she said as she looked around at the group, "I think we all deserve to have a great night of food and drinks and dancing," she added, glancing shyly in Becker's direction as she said that.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"If you are brave enough to risk my two left feet, I am game for a dance or two I think" Becker said with a grin. "Oh you actually dance then Hills" Danny said with a smirk. "I am impressed." "Well... I doubt I will be as graceful as normal considering the leg" Becker said with a pat to the leg as he slid his arm out of the sling. "But a dance... or two... sounds really good to me."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah's smile widened at that, "then a dance or two sounds great," she said happily, her blush deepening "and don't worry, the music seems just right for slow dancing, we don't have to go to quickly at all," she said, sounding rather hopeful at the idea of being able to slow dance with Becker.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled and gave her a small wink. "Then the dances are all yours Sarah." Becker would be willing to dance till he dropped if Sarah wanted to keep dancing. "Go get her tiger" Danny said with a grin. "Music is going and the two of you are here and looking quite snazzy if I do say so." He gave Becker a nod and looked over at Sarah with a wink.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah was definitely bright red now at that, "shall we get in a dance now?" she offered shyly as she nodded in the direction of the open space in the living room, "and then we can open up those bottles of wine,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	"First dance sounds good... and I will definitely need some of that wine by the end of the night I am certain." And with that Becker took a step back and then with a grin that was broad and adoring he gave a small bow to Sarah and held out his hand. "Would you do me the honor of giving me this dance?"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"I would be delighted," Sarah smiled as she gave a curtsey in response and happily reached out to take Becker's hand, "and honoured to give you this dance,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled and walked the few steps to the middle of the living room and pulled her close as they started to dance. It was far form graceful, between his leg and his arm and the normal baseline of not being the best dancer to begin with. But Becker didn't care. He was just happy to be able to do this with the team, and to be here with Sarah, sharing such a special moment with her. Becker barely even registered when Danny started hooting and hollering at them, though Becker did let a smirk show as he glanced over to see Jenny giving Danny a slap on the back of his head.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah was only too happy to be pulled in close to Becker and leaning against him but was careful to not hurt his arm. She couldn't believe that after so long, here she was slow dancing with Becker, she caught Jenny's gaze after giving Danny a slap on the back of his head. Jenny gave her a thumbs up as they slowly moved around the floor. She closed her eyes as she and Becker danced to the music and took the the time to appreciate just how wonderful all of this was.
Becker(anomaly_research_nerd)	It took less time than he thought it would and Becker found himself forgetting everything and everyone else but Sarah. It was so right, so special what they had, and he was determined to enjoy it. He held her close as they danced, one song ending and another starting and he found himself unable to let go just yet. He held Sarah close, leaning over and placing a soft kiss on her head as they danced. Becker knew he'd have to stop sooner or later. His body wasn't going to hold out all night. But he was determined to make the most of this moment.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah's only focus in this moment was Becker and that she was here dancing with him, all she wanted to do was stay in Becker's arms dancing but she knew that eventually they would have to stop. She knew that with Becker's leg he wasn't going to be up to dancing all night but she was determined to enjoy these few dances that they could manage to get in and enjoy the fact that she got to spend the evening being with Becker.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker went as long as he could, song after song, well past the point he probably should have. And eventually, it got to be too much. His leg was burning and his arm was starting to throb. So reluctantly, as their current song ended, he brushed his hand along Sarah's cheek as he leaned against her slightly, suddenly realizing just how tired he was. "Sorry... think I've hit my limit..." he whispered softly, giving Sarah an apologetic look.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"That's okay Becker, that was wonderful," Sarah said gently as she supported him as best she could so that he wouldn't have to carry as much of his weight, "how about we go and get you a seat and I can get us some wine?"
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker nodded as he let Sarah take the lead and allowed himself to be helped over to the couch. With Sarah's help he got comfortable on the couch, his leg propped up and arm back in the sling. He watched with a find smile as Sarah went to get them some of the wine, and all the while, all he could think of was how lucky he was.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Once Sarah helped Becker get comfortable not he couch, she went to pour two glasses of wine and brought them back over, handing a glass of wine to Becker. “I’m not entirely sure what brand I got us but it should hopefully be good,” she smiled as she raised her glass to toast his.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled and lifted his own glass to return the toast and took a sip as he reached out and put an arm around Sarah. "While you rest and get your second wind there Becker, mind if I have a dance with the lady?" Danny asked with a grin. Becker's first reaction was to say no of course. But he considered Danny for a moment then looked at Sarah and nodded. "That's up to Sarah, not me" he said with a soft smile that said he was ok with it but it was up to her.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah looked at Becker, hesitating for a moment but then she looked up at Danny and nodded, "I'd love to have a dance with you Danny," she looked back at Becker, "I'll be right back okay?" she said as she put her wine down, careful not to spill it and then she leaned over to give him a gentle kiss before she left.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny had half expected Becker to tell him no in no uncertain terms. And when he give Sarah the choice he wasn't much more optimistic. So he was happily surprised when Sarah stood and accepted his request. He might have told Becker he would lay off the flirting and all but he still had eyes and still fancied at least once dance with Sarah that night. He watched Becker lean into the kiss slightly and reassure Sarah he'd be ok. With a smile, Danny held his hand out to Sarah as he led her back to the middle of the makeshift dancefloor.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah gave one more reassuring smile back at Becker before she took Danny's hand and followed him out to the dance floor. "This has turned into a really lovely evening," she said with a fond smile as the next song started playing.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny smiled as he and Sarah started their dance. "It is a nice break from it all. Definitely think we all deserve it after everything." Danny glanced over at Becker and his lip twitched slightly into a grin and he turned back to Sarah. "Glad you and Becker are getting on so well. You both deserve to be happy" he said with a sincere smile.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah leaned in close but not as close as she did with Becker as they danced, "it's been really nice," she smiled fondly, "I've really enjoyed getting to spend more time with Becker, I never thought any of this would be possible," she admitted.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"He's a good guy. I know he will do right by ya" Danny said with a smile. The was the way he preferred things honestly. What he had told Becker was the truth, he had no desire to settle down or get into anything serious relationship-wise. He was perfectly content to steal a quick flirty smile or in this case a nice dance. This was definitely more his style, and he was glad Becker had finally spoken up about his feelings for Sarah. "Ya do make the cute couple" he couldn't help but add, giving Sarah a playful grin.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	And Sarah blushed bright red at that and she ducked her head shyly, "Becker really is wonderful," she said happily, "I'm glad that we got this chance to be together, I've never ... well I used to always be busy with work, back when I was an archeologist ... I've never had a chance to be in a relationship before," she admitted shyly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Something tells me you both are two peas in a pod in that regard." Danny chuckled as they continued their dance. "I think soldier boy has had a closer relationship with his guns than he has most people. So it's good to see him finally admitting that side of him actually exists." Not that Danny really had much room to talk with the whole being honest and not hiding your feelings.... but that was a conversation for another time.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled fondly at that, "I must admit never thought any of this would be possible when I first started working for the team or that we'd be having an impromptu party in a government safe house but ... I never would have met Becker otherwise ... if the team hadn't turned up to the museum that day when the anomaly opened, it was almost like it was meant to be," she said shyly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Funny how that seems to happen with this team" Danny said with a fond glance over at Cutter and Connor. "I mean imagine that the first time we met I was arresting those two for trespassing," he said with a nod in their direction. "Crazy how things can work out in ways you would never have dreamed of eh?"
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah grinned at that, "I know it all seems like we're all meant to be together, being part of something special," she said fondly, "and now ... I can't imagine not knowing any of you guys, especially Becker," she added, her eyes twinkling as they met his while they danced.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Aye, quite the nice little family we have here" Danny said fondly. And as the song ended, he let go of Sarah save for her hand, which he lifted and kissed lightly. "Thank you for the dance" he said with a grin as his eyes darted over to Becker. Becker had been watching the two dance, surprised at the lack of jealousy or anything that he felt. The kiss to the hand was a bit much, but he knew it was just Danny being Danny and he laughed and shook his head as Danny glanced over his way.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah flushed at that, smiling as Danny kissed her hand, "you're welcome," she smiled, giving him a slight curtsey as she did, "I better head back over to Becker, are you going to be alright here?" she asked gently.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Aye, just gonna grab some of this nice expensive wine" Danny said with a nod as he started toward the kitchen glancing over at Sarah as she sat back down beside Becker. "Quinn behave himself?" Becker asked, a mock tone of anger in his voice despite the smirk on his face. "Will be a little hard to do it one-legged, but I will kick his arse if he wasn't."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled over at Danny and then she made her way to Becker, sitting down and picked up her glass of wine. "Danny was the perfect gentleman," she assured him, "you don't have anything to worry about," she leaned over and gave him a kiss on the cheek, "I'm now all yours for the evening," she smiled happily at him.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker nodded, smiling as Sarah sat back down. He slid his good arm around her and pulled her closer and looked over at Danny as he did. He met the other man's gaze and gave a small nod and a grin. "I'm looking forward to spending the rest of the evening right here" he said giving Sarah's shoulders a light squeeze.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled warmly as Becker pulled her in close and she leaned against his chest, "and I'm looking forward to spending the rest of the evening with you," she said happily, her cheeks flushed from all the dancing and enjoying just being able to relax and enjoy Becker's company.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled, resting there on the couch, Sarah snuggled up against him. He would be perfectly happy to just stay there and not move the rest of the night if he could. He did look over at Jenny with a somewhat shy smile. She had been right and he knew he owed he fact that Sarah was even sitting there with him now to Jenny's persistent prodding. He gave her a smile and a nod and then tilted his head slightly as he spoke. "So, you gonna ask Quinn for a dance?"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny had been content to stand there with a glass of wine and enjoy the company of her friends that evening and blinked a little at the question, "oh I think Danny doesn't need to be subjected to my dancing Becker," she said with a smile as she took a sip of wine.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker grinned but let it go, for now. "Just make sure you enjoy yourself too Jenny... you deserve this break more than any of us." "He has a point considering everything we have put ya through lately" Connor interjected with a somewhat sheepish grin.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"Oh trust me you do not want to see me dance," Jenny said, laughing somewhat nervously and she started to feel herself reddening with the attention. "I mean ... Cutter and Connor, I'm sure you'd much prefer to dance," she tried to deflect the attention off her.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor glanced from Jenny to Cutter and then looked at Becker who gave him a small wink. They could keep working on Jenny. The night was still young as they say. "Ya know what, ya twisted my arm" Connor said with a smirk as he looked at Cutter, a huge grin spreading over his face."Shall we?" he asked Cutter as he held out a gloved hand to him.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter grinned happily at that as he took Connor's gloved hand in his own, "I would love to," out of the corner of his eye he could see Jenny start to relax a bit as she thought that meant she was off the hook now.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor smiled as he stood there with Cutter, trying to figure out what to do with his hands... He liked dancing but he as still not that great at it and dancing in front of a small captive audience was making him a little nervous. But the smile on Cutter's face helped wash most of that nervousness away, and he soon found himself enjoying the dance. "This is really nice, Nick. I... I'm glad we get to do this."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter wasn't that much of a dancer either so he was trying to follow Connor's lead and soon got into a rhythm with the dance as he leaned in close to Connor, "I'm glad we can to," he smiled, "I've never really gotten to dance before," he added shyly, "I think the last time was prom,"
Cutter(anomaly_research_nerd)	""Well glad we can make this happen then" Connor said with a smile as hs shifted his hands sightly so he could guide Cutter a little easier through the steps as he started to settle into the rhythm of the music as well. "You look absolutely amazing, Nick" Connor said, unable to week from saying it again as he pulled Cutter closer.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled warmly as he was pulled in closer to Connor, he leaned against his chest, "you look incredible as well Connor, very dashing," he looked up at Connor as he did with a happy smile.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor smiled, his cheeks going a little flushed at that. He leaned his head against Cutter's and gave a contented sigh. He tried to remember everything about this moment, each detail. After everything with Helen, and Christine, and Wilder and the anomalies, he just wanted to focus on this moment with Nick and he wanted to remember how it felt.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled as Connor leaned his against his and he closed his eyes, taking the moment to enjoy this moment with Connor - all of their troubles seemed so far away and for a while as the music played it was as though he and Connor were the only people in the room and he wanted the moment to last as long as possible.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Never thought this is where we would end up... all that we have been through... everything we have done...None of this would have seemed possible that day back at the university" Connor said with a fond smile. He thought about that day often, how different things might have gone if he hadn't tracked down Cutter and Stephen, if he hadn't been able to convince them to go to the Forrest of Dean... "I... I am glad it did. I am glad this is where I am... right here... with you, Nick."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"I'm glad you did too, I can't imagine my life without you Connor," Cutter said softly with a fond smile of his own, "to think I thought you were after the archeology department when you first came up to me and introduced yourself," he said as he thought back to that day.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	A fond smile tugged at Connor's lips just then and he wrapped his arms around Cutter, resting them on his shoulders, hand locked loosely behind his head. "It was quite the first introduction wasn't it.... but I am glad it's you I am here with right now. Never thought I'd ever had someone I cared about who felt the same for me."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	“It was definitely quite the introduction,” Cutter smiled fondly, “but I’m glad we can be together, I never thought that having anything like this was possible,” he leaned closer against Connor as Connor wrapped his arms around his shoulders while they danced , wrapping his arms around Connor’s waist as he did, “you make me very happy Connor,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"As do you" Connor said softly, staring at Cutter as the song ended, far too soon for his liking. "I love you, Nick." And then without really even thinking about what he was doing, Connor pulled his arms higher around Cutter and pulled him close and kissed him softly, tenderly, but he didn't pull away.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"I love you Connor," and then he was rather surprised but rather pleased when Connor leaned in to kiss him and he happily returned the kiss, completely forgetting that they were in the middle of the living room and that all their friends were watching them.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	For the moment Connor wasn't thinking of anything other than the two of them, sharing a perfect moment together. He just wanted to stay right where he was, pretending that just for a moment, nothing else and no one else mattered or even existed. But eventually that quiet spell that has seemed to have fallen on them was broken by a whistle from Danny, which was cut off and follows by a series of 'ows' of pain as Becker, Sarah, and Jenny both took turns slapping him for that. Connor pulled back from the kiss and blushed bright red as he looked up at Cutter. "S-sorry Nick... got a little carried away there" he said softly, ducking his head slightly.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled happily up at Connor, his own cheeks a bright shade of red at that, "you don't have to apologise," he said rather shyly, "I really liked that,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Makes two of us" Connor said with a grin as he pulled back but kept a hold on Cutter's hand as he lead them back towards the empty couch. "Owww..."Danny said still rubbing the back of his head from the onslaught of head slaps. "What did I do?"
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter returned the grin as he held Connor's hand and happily followed him to the couch, after everything that had been happening, he really couldn't believe that he was here with the man he loved. Jenny shook her head at Danny, "you really couldn't help yourself could you?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor smiled and stopped before sitting down and hurried to the kitchen and grabbed two glasses of wine and made his way back. And he sat down on the couch, shifting close to Cutter once he was seated and handed over one of the glasses of wine. And if anyone could have read his thoughts just then, they would have mirrored cutters- he couldn't believe how lucky he was and that he was there, dancing and having a wonderful night with the man he loved.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny looked over at Jenny and gave an innocent look. "What? I was just giving the boys some encouragement, is all. What was wrong with that?" Becker just gave him a look and rolled his eyes, he wasn't even gonna waste the energy on trying to explain this one to Danny. He'd leave that to the girls if they were up for the challenge.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Meanwhile Cutter was completely oblivious to everything that was going on, he was happy to stay snuggled up on the couch with the man he loved, he took the glass of wine that Connor offered him and gave him a toast before he took a sip. Jenny shook her head, "oh you're impossible Danny," she let out a long suffering sigh.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker shook his head and slipped his arm around Sarah. There were better things to do than waste time trying to teach Danny Quinn people skills. Much... much better things. And to prove it Becker Pulled Sarah close and leaned against her. The night had been wonderful so far but it had been a lot and his body was already starting to give out on him, though he was determined to stay awake and stay out of that damned bed for as long as he could.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah was more than happy to be pulled in closer to Becker, giving him a kiss on the cheek as she did and rested her head on her chest. The evening had turned out to be wonderful ... even with Danny's obvious lack of people skills. "I'm glad we got to do this," she smiled happily, "I've really enjoyed this evening,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	"As have I. It's been nice to just have fun, to try and forget everything, just be... somewhat normal after everything. And the company definitely doesn't hurt anything either" he said, his cheeks flushing a little at the kiss as he settled back and closed his eyes, resting his head against Sarah, giving a rare, contented sigh.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah smiled happily at that as she leaned against him, "it was a lovely night, especially getting to dance with you Becker," she said shyly as she looked up at him, "thank you for this evening, I had a really good time,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Pleasure and honor is mine" Becker said softly, his eyes closed and his voice tired. "It's been wonderful getting to share... all this... with you." Becker gave a smile and shifted as he sank down on the couch a little more, his head resting against her shoulder. "Thank you Sarah..." he whispered as he started to nod off slightly.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"You're welcome Becker," Sarah smiled softly at that and she noticed that Becker was starting to nod off to sleep, "would you like me to help you to bed," she said, keeping her voice soft so that she wasn't going to draw attention to them, she knew that would be the last thing Becker would want.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker nuzzled against her sleepily. "Probably should..." he muttered softly. "Will you... will you stay? At least till Danny crashes?" Becker looked at Sarah with tired yet pleading eyes as he let her start to help him stand up.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Of course," Sarah said gently as she slowly leaned in to give Becker the support that he needed to help him stand up, "I'll stay as long as you need me to stay," she smiled up at him.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled and put his arm around Sarah as he got his balance back after he stood. He looked around the room and smiled. "It's been great gang, but I have to crash... take care and... see ya all tomorrow." He was going to say in the moring but something told him none of them were likely to up too early after sunrise. Becker smiled and leaning against Sarah he let her lead him back to bed.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"Goodnight everyone," Sarah called as she helped lead Becker towards the bed, she could hear Cutter and Jenny call out goodnights after them. "You did really well tonight Becker," she smiled up at him as they walked, "I'm really proud of you,"
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Thanks... you made it all worthwhile Sarah. Thank you" Becker said with a sleepy, maybe even a little drunk, grin. How much had he had to drink anyway? He couldn't quite remember. "Thank you for making the night so special."
Sarah(thearcfamily)	"You're welcome Becker," Sarah smiled happily up at him, "I really enjoyed getting to spend the night with you and getting to dance with you, I used to be so busy with work, I never got to spend time doing things like dancing with really cute guys," she added shyly, her cheeks going rather red.
Becker(thearcfamily)	Becker smiled at that as he got comfortable on the bed. Shifting into a better position, he pulled Sarah close, wrapping his arm around her, ensuring she stayed. It didn't take long for his eyes to close again and as he drifted off, snippets of the evening replaying as he fell asleep, Becker nuzzled against Sarah. "I love you Sarah" he whispered softly, almost too softly to be heard and then he was asleep, a smile on his face as he lay there with Sarah.
Sarah(thearcfamily)	Sarah realised that she wasn't going to be going anywhere anytime soon but she didn't mind as she snuggled in close to Becker. She went rather red as she made out what Becker had said and then "I love you too Becker," she said softly and then she was very happy to continue to lay there in Becker's arms and eventually she started to drift off to sleep.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	And back in the living room, Connor was unknowingly taking a page out of Becker's book as he sat on the couch with Cutter. Connor's arms were wrapped round him as he shifted back against the arm of the couch, pulling Cutter closer against him as he did. "This has been so nice Nick" he said sleepily. "Very nice."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled warmly as Connor pulled him in closer and he leaned against Connor. "This was definitely something we needed to do," he let out a yawn as he snuggled in closer, "I'm glad we had this evening, it was nice to forget about everything for a while,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Perfect way to spend the day" Connor agreed as he held Cutter close, reaching up to run a hand through the messy hair he loved so much and gave a contented sigh. "Nothing more I'd rather do and nowhere I'd rather be than right here with you, Nick."
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter let out a contented sigh as Connor ran his hand through he hair, he snuggled in close, enjoying being able to have this moment with him, “I don’t want to be anywhere else than here with you either,” he told him happily, “I love you so much Connor,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	With a contented smile and sigh that mirrored Cutter's, Connor closed his eyes. Losing himself in that moment right then rith there, he was content and happy. He knew eventually, they should head to bed...they both would be a little worse for wear if they spent the entire night passed out on the couch like this. But Connor was having trouble convincing himself it was worth getting bed cuddles to put an end to the current couch snuggles.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter let out a yawn and snuggled in tiredly to Connor, he knew that they really should move to bed but he was having really nice time on the snuggling on the couch with Connor and he didn’t want to move. “This is really nice,” he murmured tiredly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor gave a sleepy smile as he kept gently stroking Cutter's hair. His eyes slid shut and Connor was soon drifting off. One hand was still lightly tangled in his hair,the other resting on his back as he held Cutter close. And a few minutes later, there might have even been a small snore heard from the couch as Connor fell fast asleep.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled softly as she looked over and saw Connor and Cutter asleep on the couch, “I think they’ve got the right idea,” she remarked softly to Danny, “sleep doesn’t sound too bad right now,”
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Aye, some sleep does sound good" Danny said with a stretch as he sat up on the other couch. "But I do believe there is one thing we still have left to take care of. Something you, Jenny Lewis, have not done yet this evening." Danny looked at her and grinned playfully.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny had a sinking feeling she knew what it was but she still trying to pretend she didn't know what he was talking about, "oh?" she said innocently, "and what haven't I don't this evening?"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"I think you know good and well" Danny said, the grin widening as he stood and looked at Jenny. "I believe you are still the only one who has not indulged in a dance this fine evening. We can't let that stand now can we?"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny was still making no move to get off the couch, "now I'm sure we can still say that this was a successful evening without my dancing, are you sure you want to subject yourself to that?" she said in a light tone, that suggested she wasn't going to take much more convincing to get up and dance.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"I am sure I have seen much worse on a night of drinking at the local pub" Danny said with a smirk as he held out a hand to Jenny. "Besides, now is the best time no? No other witnesses..."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"I'm pretty sure that would have been me at the local pub, I haven't danced since my uni days," Jenny said with a laugh, "I'm just glad that this was before footage could be recorded on mobile phones and there's no evidence of my terrible dancing," but she did reluctantly reach out and take his hand so that she could stand up. "and I trust there will be no evidence of this dance?" she said pointedly to Danny with a grin.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Scouts honor" Danny said as he raised his hand. "Only recording we'll be here in the old brain... which is getting a bit shoddy so, you're fine." Danny gave Jenny a reassuring smile as he took her hand and led her to the middle of the living room.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"Good," Jenny relaxed a bit at that as she let Danny lead her out to the floor, "the evening turned out quite wonderful, for having an impromptu fancy dress party in a safe house," she said with a smile.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny nodded as he started dancing with Jenny, letting her ake the lead as far as how much contact she wanted. She was up and dancing so he was going to count anything that happened from here on out a victory. "I think we did a good job... the team deserved this for sure."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled as she wrapped her arms slightly around Danny's neck and swayed to the music that was playing, "they definitely did, it's been a rough few months for everyone, I think we needed this break ... a chance to recharge before we come up with our next plan of attack,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Definitely a needed morale booster" Danny said as he swayed along with Jenny. "It's good to see them relaxing and having fun. Nick and Connor definitely needed this after everything. And course Becker and Sarah" he added with a smirk. "It helps to see them like this. Makes me a little less worried about them."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"Same," Jenny smiled at that, "they do make quite a cute couple, I'm glad they've been able to have this evening together, they all deserved this evening,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"And you as well. You have been shouldering a lot of the weight...especially with Becker and I laid up. You've kept the team together. That is no easy task, thank you."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"You're welcome," Jenny smiled at that, "it's been an interesting few days to say the least but I'm glad the team has stayed together, that's what's going to be important moving forward ... keeping the team together, if we can manage that ... we have a stronger chance of standing together against Christine,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Aye no more escape attempts from Cutter," Danny said with a nod. "Though I understand where his line of thinking comes from, faulty as it is."
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny nodded, as she looked over where he was sleeping on the couch, curled up with Connor, "same, I mean if I was in his shoes, I probably would have done the same thing but he seems to have settled down a bit now ... and I think being with Connor has really helped him,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Those two are really something" Danny said looking at them and then looked back to Jenny as the song ended. "We've gotten through the first huddle of getting settled in... now we just have to prepare for the possible long haul we have ahead of us. We're on the right track though." Danny smiled as he hesitated a moment and then let go of Jenny.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	"they truly are," Jenny smiled fondly as the song stopped and she looked back at Danny, "and we are definitely on the right track, we have enough supplies that we can easily stay here two weeks if we need to, and the cash that Connor and Sarah found will definitely be useful if we need to do a supply run into town if it comes to that," her smile widened as Danny let go, "thank you for the dance Danny,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"You're welcome Jen" Danny said with a grin. "You weren't half as and as you let on ya know" he added with a small wink. He glanced back to Cutter and Connor and shook his head with a small laugh. "Think we need to get them in the bed... neither one of them is gonna feel any better in the morning for sleeping in THAT position!"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny blushed at that and quickly ducked her head, turning to where Cutter and Connor were, "I think you may be right, the least we can do is help them to bed so they can be a lot more comfortable, how they managed to fall asleep in that position on the couch I'll never know," she shook her head.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Eh you would be surprised the positions we would wake up in after long stakeouts and missions and all" Danny said with a laugh. "But that position," he said with a nod to the two sleeping forms. "will lead to a massive crick in the neck by morning. Need help getting them settled?"
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny smiled at that, "if you feel up to it, I wouldn't say no to the extra help," she nodded as she began to make her way over to the couch, "at least their room isn't too far,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Danny nodded and made his way over the top couch and gave Connor a gentle shake. "What... the party's over?" Connor asked as he woke up, struggling to open his eyes as he blinked up at Danny and Jenny. "Yeah mate. Party's officially over" Danny said with a small grin at Jenny.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Come on Cutter, let's get you to bed," Jenny said as she gave him a gentle tap on the shoulder to wake him up. Cutter murmured for a bit as he tried to all back asleep, he could hear Connor and Danny talking but he was rather comfortable on the couch next to Connor and just wanted to stay there. "Cutter, you'll thank me later for helping you to bed, you do not want to sleep on the couch like this," Cutter yawned and then reluctantly opened his eyes, still curled up to Connor, "what time is it?"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"It's A.M. Very.. very... A.M." Danny said with a laugh as he helped Jenny get Cutter upright then gave Connor a hand sitting up as well. "Owww.... my neck" Connor said as he rubbed his neck and tilted his head trying to work out the kink that was forming. "Like we said. You will thank us later for not letting you two sleep out here all night" Danny said with a small laugh.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	"Oh ... I didn't realise it was so late," Cutter yawned, rubbing his own neck slightly and he could feel his eyes begin to close again. "Oh that's it, come on," Jenny gently began to pull him to his feet, "you can fall asleep once you're in bed,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor took the hand Danny offered to him just then and stood, swaying a little on his feet as he did. With a hand on his shoulder to steady him, Danny started leading him back to the bedroom. Once there he helped Connor to at least get out of the jacket and tie. "Don't want the thing to decide to spontaneously choke you while you're sleeping after all" Danny said with a laugh as he tossed the tie and jacket to the floor. Connor just nodded, finding it very hard to say anything just then, even keeping his eyes open was a challenge right then.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter was practically being dragged to the bedroom by Jenny, he had no energy left and it was taking all of his will power to even stand up right at that point. He kept yawning as Jenny also took off his jacket and tie and shoes and then pulled back the bed covers so that Cutter and Connor could get into bed, "there we are, nice and easy, you're almost there," Cutter gratefully climbed into bed, moving far enough so that Connor had plenty of room, "thank you Jenny, Danny," he yawned again and his eyes started closing as his head hit the pillow.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor sat on the edge of the bed and kicked his shoes off half in his sleep. The next thing he knew he was laying back in the bed curling up against Cutter. "Thanks..." he mumbled sleepily as he looked at Danny and Jenny. And with a final yawn he wrapped an arm around Cutter, holding him close as he nuzzled his head against Cutter's head, a whispered "I love you, Nick" escaping his lips as he fell asleep.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter got comfortable, snuggling against Connor as he did, "I love you Connor," he whispered and then he was fast asleep. Jenny smiled softly as she watched Cutter and Connor curled up against each other and she pulled up their blankets and quietly tucked them in, "thank you for helping Danny," she said once she was done and smiled up at him.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Any time" Danny said with a smile as he looked from Jenny to Cutter and Connor. "Lord knows it's a team effort keeping up with these two." Danny turned and started walking back to the living room, putting a hand on Jenny's shoulder gently. "You take the bed tonight Jenny. I'll crash on the couch. An no, no argument. That is an order from the team leader" he said with a grin.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny had opened her mouth to protest but a yawn escaped and she realised she was too tired to argue with Danny, “fine but next time I take the couch,” she insisted as she returned the grin.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Well, we'll see about that. Now off to bed with ya" Danny said with a nod towards the bedroom. "We gotta get focused and figure out where we go from here. We're all gonna need a good night's sleep." And with that Danny gingerly lowered himself down onto the couch and started taking off the jacket and tie he had been wearing.
Jenny(thearcfamily)	Jenny yawned again and nodded, too tired to do anything else. “Good night Danny,” she smiled at him before she headed off to the bedroom, “and thank you,” she added softly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny nodded and watched Jenny walk off into the bedroom and then fell back on the couch and was soon nodding off. There was a lot to do and a lot planning to take care of. But that all could wait till morning. Now was the time to sleep... and that was exactly what Danny was doing.
