Room 110 - Thursday Evening

After last night’s revelations, Cutter hadn’t really wanted to go anywhere but stay with Connor and Connor had felt the same so after sleeping off their light hangover that morning so they finally felt well enough to make a move that evening.

“Do you think we should order some takeout?” Cutter asked from where he was still spralwed on the bed, “or I can go and get snacks from the lounge if you don’t want to wait?”

"I thought I had messed it up for good... I'm glad you wanted to get back together" Connor gently rubbed Cutter's back. "I... I was afraid you wouldn't want to."

Cutter leaned into that touch, "I thought the same thing," he admitted, "I thought it was too soon, that you wouldn't want to get back together after everything that I did ... I ... I was afraid too," he said softly as he looked up at Connor.

Connor was silent for a moment and then he spoke as he looked up at Cutter. "Even back then, when everything was so bad... I knew I still loved you. I... I was hurt, I was angry, but I still loved you. That has never changed, even after all this." Connor smiled softly before leaning back against Cutter's chest.

Cutter wrapped his arms around Connor as he did, holding him tight, "I still loved you too, I'm sorry I was ...difficult before, that I wasn't honest with how I felt, that I shut you out like I did, it was wrong of me, I hope that one day I will make it up to for what I did,"

Connor returned the hug, clinging to Cutter as he buried his head against his shoulder. "I forgive you Nick" he said softly. "We both made mistakes and did things wrong. But now we have the chance to do it right this time."

Cutter clung to Connor tightly as well, kissing the top of his head as he did, "we do have the chance to make it right, I'm not going to let anything come between us this time, I'm going to make sure of it, everything will be right this time," he said softly.

Connor smiled against Cutter's shoulder. "Nothing or no one will get in the way of what we have" he said softly. "I'm going to make sure I do right by you. I'm going to get my degree and make something of myself."

"And I'm going to be there with you every step of the way," Cutter vowed, "anything you need, I'll do it for you Connor, you have my word,"

"And anything you need... anything at all... I want to be here for you too. I... I don't want you to feel you can't talk to me. I'm here for you, always."

Cutter held tightly to Connor, "and I'm always here for you," he said gently, "I want you to be able to talk to me too, I don't want you to think I'm shutting you out again, I ... I never want to go back to that, I'll do everything I can to not go back to that," he vowed.

Connor shifted slightly and leaned up to kiss Cutter on the cheek softly. "And that's all I need. I know we will figure it out this time" he said softly.

Cutter smiled at that kiss as he held onto Connor, "we will figure out," he agreed softly, "we can take it slow and do everything right this time,"

"Sounds good to me" Connor grinned as he shifted to sit up more and look at Cutter. "And I think doing things right includes one of those amazing backrubs of yours" he said with a small, somewhat playful grin.

Cutter couldn't help but return the playful grin at that, "well I think its only fair, it has been a while, I think an amazing back rub can be arranged,"

Connor couldn't help the grin as he shifted and crawled over the bed to where he was sitting in front of Cutter. "Is this an ok spot?"

"Perfect," Cutter smiled as he came a bit closer to Connor so that he could in a more comfortable position and then he started to give Connor a back rub, "how does that feel?" he asked.

Connor gave a soft moan as he started to relax. "Feels good... really really good" he said with a smile. "Had almost forgotten how good your back rubs are" he said with a smirk.

Cutter smiled as he kept rubbing Connor's back, making sure that every part of Connor's back was looked after, "I've missed doing this," he admitted, "it's nice that we can do this again,"

There was that nice word again.

Connor sat enjoying the back rub for a moment before he shifted and looked back at Cutter, a look of concern suddenly on his face.

"It... it's not hurting your hands too much is it?" he asked softly. He knew Cuter didn't like talking about his hands but the last thing Connor wanted to do was ask for something that was going to hurt him.

Cutter shook his head as he gently rubbed Connor's back, "no, my hands aren't hurting," he assured Connor, "I think something like this is fine for them because its not too much pressure, I like this, its nice being able to move them so much,"

"Good. I'm glad they aren't bothering you as much" Connor said with a smile and a small sigh of relief. He stared down at his hands as Cutter rubbed his back some more. He couldn't help but look at his own disfigured hand as his thoughts drifted slightly.

Cutter watched as Connor looked down at his own hands, that familiar guilt returning over everything that had happened and how he had responded, "I'm sorry that I wasn't there for you," he said softly as he continued to rub Connor's back.

"It's ok Nick" he said softly as he looked a his hands then sighed and trend to look over his shoulder slightly. "Was about time I started being a bit more self-sufficient and all" he said with a somewhat forced smile. "It's like Dr. Jones has told me several times. Even when you love someone and are with them, you are still the one ultimately responsible to take care of yourself, not them." Connor smiled as he leaned back against Cutter's chest, pulling Cutter's arms to wrap around him as he did. "Besides, you are here now. That is what matters."

Cutter wrapped his arms tightly around Connor and he pressed kisses into his neck, "I still should have been there, I will always regret that I wasn't," he said softly.

Conor relaxed at those kisses and moaned softly. "I know." he said softly. There wasn't really anything to say, Cutter was right and it was something they had worked to get past and would continue to work through. "We'll be fine. We're together now."

"We are together," Cutter said softly, still pressing those kisses into Connor's neck, he knew there was still a lot to work through but he and Connor were together and they would work through it, "nothing will keep us apart again," he vowed.

Connor moaned and turned into the kisses as he laced his hands with Cutters and sighed. There was a lot of unknown still. A lot they had to figure out. A lot still to do. But Connor knew they would figure it out. "Never again" Connor said softly as he closed his eyes, just enjoying the moment.

Cutter smiled as Connor laced his hands in his and he pressed another kiss in Connor's neck, "I love you so much Connor," he said softly as he enjoyed the feel of Connor in his arms again, he was going to make this right, he wasn't going to let anything come between them again.
