Still an Abandoned Mansion - London

The anomaly was still open but Becker’s men had secured the site and there were someone who was going to guard it until the anomaly would close. There hadn’t been too much damage to the house, so Jenny was able to smooth out the details with the real estate agency who had been trying to sell the house and now all that was left was to gather all the data that Connor and Cutter had been able to get from the anomaly. “Do you think we’ve gotten all the data we need?” Cutter asked Connor as they stood near the front steps of the house, Lester was going to be stopping by the site shortly to see the anomaly site for himself and in the meantime they had been going over their devices at what information they'd recorded.. [preplayed with the amazing anomaly_research_nerd. Adapted from Series 3 episode 2 'Haunted House'. CW for mention of kids going missing. NFB for distance but OOC welcome!]

Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	”I’m not sure if we can ever have enough data when it comes to the anomalies" Connor said with a small grin. "But i think we got a good bit, and it's definitely more than we had before" added looking up from the devices he had been studying.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter smiled at that, "it's definitely been one of the weirdest missions we've been on, being there for an anomaly as it actually opens" he admitted, "I know I'm looking forward to analysing all this data, the research implications for the anomaly prediction model are endless," he gushed excitedly.
Lester(thearcfamily)	At that moment Lester turned up, he got out of his car and made his way toward them, looking up at the house, "well the house is still standing, so I'm assuming the mission was a success?" he looked at Cutter and Connor pointedly.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Aye no major damage that wasn't already here and all" Connor confirmed. "And Nick and I got some really good data as well!"
Lester(thearcfamily)	"Well that is a successful mission," Lester looked up at the house, "and the anomaly is still open?" Cutter nodded, "Becker and his men have secured the site," he said, "it's still producing strong readings, it could be open for a couple of days now," "Well I'll have to take a look at this for myself," Lester remarked, "shall we head back into the house?" he nodded back towards the front door.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	Connor nodded and slipped the handheld ADD into his pocket and went to open the door for Lester. "Becker is inside, briefing his men. I think he's going to station a few of them outside the property as well..." "That I am" Becker said with a fond smile to Connor and then a nod to Lester. "Everything is secure Sir. The anomaly is still open and no creatures have tried to come through. I think we did a good job scaring them the other day so hopefully they leave the anomaly alone."
Lester(thearcfamily)	“Excellent,” Lester said as he entered the house, “good work everyone,” he nodded at Becker, “I should like to see this anomaly for myself now,” he added, glancing up the stairs where he knew the anomaly was.
Becker(thearcfamily)	"Of course Sir, follow me" Becker said as he started up the stairs. Once he reached the top and saw Lester, Cutter, and Connor on their way up, he nodded to his men to resume their patrols inside the house and around the perimeter. "Here it is Sir," he said as he stopped at the door leading into the room with the anomaly.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester looked closely at the anomaly but keeping a healthy distance back because unlike a certain Professor, he had no desire to see the inside of an anomaly, “and we haven’t determined where exactly it leads to?” he looked at Connor and Cutter.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Not conclusively, no" Connor said and glanced at Cutter and swallowed, feeling a little nervous about presenting his theory to Lester. "Our devices can't pinpoint a era or anything to indicate when in the past the anomaly is linked to." here he paused for a moment and took a deep breath. "I think that is... because it... it isn't a normal anomaly as we know them. I think this one is linked... to the future rather than the past. The creature we saw yesterday is unlike anything in the fossil record. Which would make sense if it is from sometime in our far future."
Lester(thearcfamily)	“Another future anomaly?” Lester raised an eyebrow at that, “is there anything to indicate that Helen is behind this?” Cutter shifted awkwardly, “we don’t know James” he said quietly, “it’s possible she’s controlling this but it’s hard to tell since this anomaly has been opened previously,”
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Or it could just be an anomaly tied to the future and not have anything to do with Helen" Connor said. "There's really no way to know without going through it and seeing what is on the other side...." "Which of course is not going to happen," Becker added firmly, "Unless absolutely necessary."
Lester(thearcfamily)	Cutter managed to look very sheepish at that and Lester noticed and sighed, “I don’t want to know,” he decided, “so in the meantime we have an open anomaly and there’s really nothing we can do about it other than stand watch?” he checked.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Well, I know Connor... the, the other Connor" Connor said with an awkward grin. "He was working on a device to try and seal the anomalies. Essentially lock them so nothing could get through until they disappeared on their own like they usually do." He looked up at Lester somewhat sheepishly. "But I think it's still just a prototype he is working on, and I.. I'm afraid I don't quite understand that side of things as well as he seems to."
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester tilted his head thoughtfully, “something like that could definitely be useful, so that’s what he’s been working on in the lab?” he had noticed the other Connor had been very possessive and secretive of his work as of late.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"Aye, he wanted the updated data from this anomaly so I reckon he is busy running that through his model and testing things out some still" Connor said with a slight sigh. "I... been helping him the last few days...as best as I can anyway. He said there's still some kinks to work out and gaps to fill in but... he hopes to have a working prototype to test soon."
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester nodded, “well if you need any more resources for the lab, let me know, a device like that is definitely something that should be prioritised,” he considered thoughtfully.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"I'll definitely pass the word along when we get back" Connor said with a nod. "In the meantime, I think all we can do is keep guard posted until the anomaly closes again and..." Connor trailed off as the sudden sound of someone downstairs yelling and shouting drifted up to them. Becker turned toward the stairs and was starting down them in a flash, wondering what had his men so rolled up.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester turned in the direction of the noise, “what the bloody hell is that racket?” he let out an exasperated sigh.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Look I just need to talk to your boss. I'm assuming he's your boss" Danny said as he stood just outside the door to the house as Becker came bounding down the stairs. "He's about yea tall, perfect hair, seems to be missing his sense of humor..." Danny looked past the guard blocking the doorway and into he house and caught sight of Becker. "What the hell are you doing here, Quinn?" Becker asked in disbelief. "Ah, soldier boy there you are! Got some intel you might be interested in" Danny said as he held up a stack of papers.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Cutter froze at hearing Quinn's name and glanced at Connor and then Lester. "Now this ought to be good," Lester muttered as he began to head down the stairs, "and what pray tell is this intel that you've found," he remarked. "And people say I'm stubborn," Cutter grumbled as he began to follow Lester.
Danny(thearcfamily)	Danny tried a few more times to step through the doorway but Becker's man refused to move out of the way until Becker nodded. "Ah that's better," Danny said as he took a step in just to be stopped by Becker walking up to him, not looking at all happy to see him again. "Got something you might be interested in Guv'" Danny said as he tried to hand the papers over to Lester. "I'll take those thank you" Becker said, snatching the papers from Danny and then handing them over to Lester."Ok, you delivered your 'intel' you can leave now." "Sorry, not happening," Danny said as he stared at Becker and crossed his arms.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Now Cutter was really interested in what intel Quinn could be bringing and he tried to read over Lester's shoulder as he came closer. Lester read over the papers, "now that is most interesting," he remarked, "from this it would suggest that the anomaly has been open multiple times in the past, not just the one that Quinn saw, this is reports of kids going missing," he looked at Becker and then back at Cutter and Connor. "What exactly is your endgame with all of this Quinn?" Lester looked back at Danny, "what are you hoping to achieve with all of this?" he kept his expression neutral, as he looked at Danny expectantly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"I want in on this of course" Danny said. "I've worked cases like that one" he said, nodding to the papers in Lester's hand "for years. I've seen these... what do you call them? Anomalies? I've seen them myself before, and everyone said I was bloody mad. Nearly lost my career over it. And now you are telling me this is all real and these things exist ad that you guys work to cover all this up so the public doesn't get wind...I want in on this. You guys clearly need the help" he said as he looked over at Cutter and Connor and gave a quick wink.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Cutter folded his arms and glared at Danny at that. Lester stared at Danny for a moment as he considered his response, "what you saw was an anomaly, we're only scratching the surface of what we know about them ... we've got a team of scientists working on them to try and mitigate the damage to the public, unfortunately there have been casualties both from the anomalies and the creatures that escape from them," "However we run a tight ship as I'm sure you understand with the nature of our work," he continued, "I appreciate your help Quinn and I hope that you now have the answers you seek but joining us ... it's out of the question I'm afraid,"
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Pity," Danny said eyeing Lester and Becker for a moment. "I had been hoping for a little mutual help- you scratch my back I scratch yours... Guess government goons and military men don't work that way. Seems you are more than willing to bring in civilians though" he said looking past Becker and Lester to where Cutter and Connor were still standing on the stairs. "That is none of your business" Connor snapped, though he was glad that there was at least Becker and Lester standing between him and Danny just then.
Lester(thearcfamily)	Cutter tensed considerably at that, considering everything that he had been feeling about his return to the field and his arrest, he really didn't like what Danny was implying there, "we've been with the anomaly project since the beginning," he snapped, which was probably revealing just a bit too much. "I assure you DC Quinn, Professor Cutter and Mr. Temple are more than civilians, their work with the anomaly project is invaluable," Lester said coldly.
Danny(thearcfamily)	"Of course they are" Danny said simply with a small smug grin. "Well, then I guess I will be off" he said, acting as casually as he could as he went to reach for the files to take back but stopped when he saw the look on Lester's face. "Right, you keep that Guv'... I got plenty of copies at the station." And with a small nod to Becker and the faintest of glances up to Cutter and Connor, Danny turned and headed out. "Oh, and if you chaps ever do decide you need some help... you know where to find me and..." Danny found himself being less than gently moved out of the house by Becker. "Ok ok I'm going sheesh!"
Lester(thearcfamily)	Lester folded the papers before he handed them over to Connor, "well that's the end of that then," he remarked, "I trust you'll be able to use this report in your anomaly research?" "I really hope that's the last time we see him," Cutter grumbled as he watched Becker move Danny out of the house, "I really don't like him,"
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"If nothing else, it will give us some other dates to use to try and figure out when this particular anomaly might have been opened before and see if we can find a pattern in the data," Connor said as he took the papers from Lester and carefully put them into his bag. He turned and gave Cutter a knowing look. "I really, really don't like him" he said, watching through the doorway as Danny got on his bike and sped off down the road again.
Cutter(itsananomaly)	Cutter looked back at Connor and nodded, "hopefully he gets the hint and stays away this time, maybe Becker can arrest him if he turns up again?" He looked slightly more cheerful at that prospect. He shook his head, "this is going to be one of the weirdest reports I have to write for this mission," he remarked.
Connor(anomaly_research_nerd)	"One can only hope" Connor said, shaking his head as he turned away from the doorway and looked back up the stairs. "Shall we go get the last of the data readings for now before we head back?" he suggested looking between Cutter and Lester.
Lester(thearcfamily)	"Very well," Lester nodded, "get what data you need and then I expect a full report on my desk tomorrow morning," he looked back at Cutter, "then I want this house permanently locked down, no one going in or out except for the guards who are posted here," he decided, looking in Becker's direction as he did, "I don't want any more casualties in this house because of this anomaly," he said softly, thinking back to the report Danny had given him about the kids who had gone missing.
