Cutter hesitated at that pleading, it was very quiet but he heard it and he stopped and waited, trembling in the hallway but he couldn't bear to turn back round to look at Connor, he needed to keep his resolve otherwise he would go back right then and beg Connor for forgiveness and take him back.
