Lester's Apartment - London

A few more days had passed since Cutter and Connor had told Lester and Becker what their plans were for being released from Lester’s care and eventually the day had come, only it wasn’t the happy homecoming that Cutter had thought it was going to be. Things were still tense between him and Connor and he had tried to be there for Connor as he had his surgery and was recovering from it. Cutter still didn’t really feel any better than the other day, he had managed to sleep but he knew he still looked dreadful and he was worried that Doctor Jones might recommend that he stay with Lester or be put back in the hospital, which he definitely didn’t want to do. He wanted to go back to Fandom, to try and get past … everything … They still had another couple of sessions to attend before they could get the final clearance that they were well enough to leave Lester’s care and return to Fandom. He sat on the couch as he waited for the doctor’s to arrive, they didn’t have to go to the hospital for this one … this was just a final check up and report to make sure that they knew what they were expected to do when they returned to Fandom and Cutter was nervous. ( it was nearly time to return home )

Lester's Apartment and then MHA #16 - Very, very early Sunday morning

It was time to go home. Cutter had thought this day would never come and he had definitely thought it would be under different circumstances. He was trying to feel happy, he was going home with Connor, they were going to be teaching again … it turned out that they had only missed two weeks in Fandom instead of the six they’d been gone and Cutter wasn’t sure how to feel about that. He tried to focus on the positive, that he and Connor could leave. James had given them the written list of what they had to do, everyone’s numbers were written down and now they just had to say goodbye to the team and Becker would drive them to their portal site to return to Fandom. Going home was a good thing. Their bags were packed, they hadn’t brought a lot of things with them so they didn’t have much to carry but it felt …weird with all this uncertainty, Cutter didn’t even know if he would ever come back to the team and that terrified him. ( it was now time to return home )
