MHA #13 - Tuesday Morning

Cutter and Connor had another check in with Becker that morning so they were up early as usual, they were finishing up their breakfast , at the moment they blissfully unaware that there was anything out of the ordinary happening that day, even though Cutter did find himself humming a fair a bit, but he didn’t think anything unusual about that.

“You know I was thinking that maybe later I could try working on the keyboard?” he suggested.

Cutter smiled shyly at the kissing and the singing as Connor pulled him closer to the keyboard, even though he wasn't singing right then he was humming along and then he found himself beginning to play the music to the song, it was very simple but it was the first proper music he had played since everything had happened with Helen.

Connor smiled as he watched Cutter sit down and start to play. He stood behind him a broad smile on his face as he heard the music, a thrill building in him that almost made tears come to his eyes realizing that Cutter was actually playing again. Connor leaned in closer as he started singing more of the song.

And then as he continued to play, Cutter started to find himself humming and then he was singing along with the Connor.

"Kiss while your lips are still red
While he's still silent
Rest while bosom is still untouched, unveiled..."

He closed his eyes as he played, lost in the music as he remembered just how much he had loved playing.

Connor felt a lump start to form in his chest as he heard Cutter start to sing along as he continued to play. He leaned in close and wrapped his arms around Cutter, careful not to disturb him as he played as he continued to sing along with him.


Hold another hand while the hand's still without a tool
Drown into eyes while they're still blind
Love while the night still hides the withering dawn...


Connor nuzzled the side of Cutter's neck as he continued to play, losing himself in the music and how wonderful it was to be with his boyfriend, the man he loved, like this.

Cutter leaned against Connor, enjoying that neck nuzzle, still playing the melody but it was getting slower now, tears were starting to fall down his cheeks as kept playing.

Connor kept his arms around Cutter, listening to him play even as the singing stopped. He gently kissed the side of his neck. "I love you Nick" he whispered softly, feeling his own eyes start to brim with tears, "so very much."

Cutter blinked back the tears of his own, "I love you too Connor," he said softly as he leaned against Connor and stopped playing, "I love you so, so much,"

With the playing stopped, Connor sat down on the bench next to Cutter and pulled him close. "I love you more than anyone... or anything Nick" he said softly as he leaned closer and kissed him softly, tenderly, lovingly, arms wrapping around him in an almost protective hug. He knew what a big thing this was for Cutter, playing again, and right then and there Connor knew he would never let Helen take that away from Cutter again.

Cutter leaned into that kiss, "I love you so much Connor, more than anything in the world, I will always love you," he said as tears rolled down his cheeks, still in awe that he had played music again, after being afraid of it for so long, "thank you, for being here for me, I couldn't have done this without you,"

"I will always be here for you Nick and I will always love you. I want to be with you and no one else" Connor said as he felt tears of his own roll down his cheeks. "Thank you for letting me be here with you for letting me be a part of this with you" he said as he reached up and brushed away some of the tears and then kissed Cutter again.

Cutter happily returned that kiss, wrapping his arms tightly around Connor as Connor brushed those tears away, "and I only want to be here with you, I ... I want to be able to share this with you, I want to keep playing music again," he reached up and brushed away Connor's own tears. "I love you so much,"

"Then we will keep doing it. We will keep playing and singing... together. As much as we want" he said with a grin as he leaned over and kissed Cutter's forehead. "I love you, Nick. And I will always be here for you."

Cutter smiled at that as he leaned against Connor, "I lie the sound of that, playing and singing together," he said, "and I love you Connor and I'll be here for you Connor,"

Connor smiled. All he wanted was right there and all he ever needed was Cutter there with him. "How about he head somewhere a little more comfortable" he asked with a wink.

Cutter started to go rather red at that, "I do like the sound of that," he said rather shyly.

Connor smiled and pulled Cutter along towards the bedroom. He couldn't think of a better way to end the day and he took Cutter's hand and kissed it softly as they disappeared into the bedroom.

Cutter smiled shyly as he followed Connor into the bedroom, it was really. going to be a wonderful end to the day, aside from the embarrassing phone call with Becker, it hadn't been to bad all things considered and he had gotten to play music again, he definitely considered that a win.
