MHA #16 - Saturday Morning

Cutter had not left his apartment since he had got back from his workshops on Thursday, he hd mostly stayed put on the couch, not eating anything and barely sleeping.

Until he had received a Chinese food delivery yesterday that he knew he hadn’t ordered but it had already been paid for and since it was from the place that he and Connor had liked to order from before everything happened … he knew it had to have been from Connor.

He stared at his phone, debating for several moments before he finally sent a text message to Connor thank you for the food… he hesitated I … it helped a lot, thank you he added, he had said thank you already but it was the only thing he could think of to say.

Ok, that one hurt. Connor stared at the text, reading it several times. So, did Cutter think he was wasting time talking to him? He really did mean what he said when he pushed him away, didn't he?

Yeah would be a shame to waste time like that. Im sure you have better things to spend your time on.

Cutter glared at the text message, he should never have bothered reaching out to Connor, this was a mistake clearly I do. Don’t worry I won’t be making this mistake again

Same. No use bothering each other right? since this was going oh so well. Connor sighed as he hit 'send' and stared at the phone, feeling the knot in his stomach grow.

Cutter really should have just ignored the message at this point but his temper was getting the better of him and he just couldn’t help himself as he replied right. I think we can both think of better things to do with our time.

Consider it done Connor texted back and then tossed the phone onto the couch where he was sitting and sighed.

Rubbing his hands through his hair Connor sighed as he grabbed the beer from the table in front of him and took a long slow drink.

That could have gone a lot better.... though he knew he was just setting himself up for the dissapointment by expecting Cutter to react any other way.
