MHA #16 - Early Tuesday Evening

Cutter had said that he would watch Rex for Connor while he was on his date tonight, so that had meant that there was a lot of last minute tidying up since he had a lot of books and papers strewn around the apartment and to make sure that there was nothing around that Rex might decide that it looked like a tasty snack.

He did have his laptop open and Connor’s folder of research that he had given him for a potential dig site, since Cutter was looking into moving into what was involved in palaeontology field work for the next couple of lessons, he had also remembered to ask Lester about the possibility of his class visiting the ARC later that semester and Lester had said he would discuss it with Jenny and Leek …which was still unnerving to hear those names being mentioned.

So it was shaping up to be a quiet evening of watching Rex and doing lesson plans, he really did need to start getting out more often.

"OK be a good boy for Cutter ok Rex?" Connor said as he stood outside the apartment and gave a quick knock. "No trying to escape!"

It wasn’t long at all before Cutter opened the doo, smiling as he saw Conor and Tex, “hey Connor, Rex, come in,” he stepped back to let them in the apartment.

"Thanks again for agreeing to watch Rex for me, Professor" Connor said as they walked in. Rex immediately gave a happy chirp and ran a few circles around them both. "I think Rex is happy to get some time with ya too!"

Cutter smiled as he watched Rex run around them, “it’s not a problem at all,” he told him, “we’ll have fun tonight won’t we Rex?” he added.

Well he wasn’t sure how much fun Rex was going to have but hopefully he’d stay out of trouble.

Rex gave a happy trilling chirp as if to agree.

"Well, I brought these just in case," Connor said handing a small cooler bag over. "Rex has developed a taste for raspberries. Figured might be good to have some on hand ya know, in case he gets a little out of hand or decides to try and sneak out the door when you open it."

Connor looked down at the little green dino and grinned. "It has saved me from chazing him around the apartment complex a few times already at least!"

“Thanks, I’ll definitely keep them ready if I need them,” Cutter smiled, “hopefully there won’t be any need to chase Rex tonight,”

Even though it would be a lot more exciting than lesson plans.

Be careful Cutter.... the island might 'hear' you!

"Thanks, Professor. You're the best" Connor said with a grin. "I... I'll try not to be too late coming to get him from ya tomorrow."

All kinda depended on how the date went and all, ya know.
