*Waves* hi it’s Tracy and I thought I was done with new characters for the time being but I’m totally blaming anomaly_research_nerd for the enabling inspiration for applying my newest teacher who will be teaching Intro to Palaeontology this semester
. Nick Cutter, from ITV’s dinosaur show Primeval from about a decade ago
. Is Scottish, 35, 6’ and has short blond hair and brown eyes
. Is not from the same timeline asanomaly_research_nerd
. Is also very much alive, which will be news to Connor when he sees his former dead boss turn up.
. He’s a professor and up until he left for Fandom he taught palaeontology at Central Metropolitan University in London - at least when he bothered to turn up to teach his own classes.
. An evolutionary zoologist, he works closely with the government to track portals called anomalies that open across England and works to try and prevent dinosaurs from escaping into modern day England, he’s also the team leader in a team that includes Stephen Hart, Abby Maitland and Connor Temple. The original team also included Claudia Brown who liaised with the Home Office but due to a significant error that was made in the past, Claudia was erased from existence and only Cutter and Helen remember her.
. Doesn’t believe much in small talk and can appear very cold and cynical
. He’s described in the show by James Lester as a ‘self styled maverick who doesn’t always follow the rules’ and Cutter doesn’t have the highest regard for authority or obeying the rules in general, so of course he’s going to be neighbours with the Sheriff :)
. Is kind of a mess at the point in his canon he’s coming from, which is a couple of episodes into series 2 - the woman he was in love with, Claudia Brown got erased from the timeline and he found out his best friend Stephen had an affair with his now ex wife Helen when they were married. The team has also moved into new headquarters and a man named Oliver Leek has Claudia’s old job.
. The final straw came when he realised that Claudia Brown was now Jenny Lewis, a hard hitting PR expert and no one remembered Claudia or the original timeline apart from Helen
. Has a very complicated relationship with his ex wife - she went missing 8 years ago at the start of the series and was declared dead but it turns out not only is she alive but she’s actively trying to return the planet to the dinosaurs and make them the dominant species again.
. One of my favourite quotes of his is when asked about his relationship history and basically does some up his character in terms of close relationships, “Erm, no. I'm not particularly good at that. My wife left me eight and a half years ago to travel through the anomalies, and the next woman I liked, she... She left. Yeah, I don't seem to be a particularly attractive romantic proposition at the moment And on that note, if you'll excuse me, I've got a hot date with a dead shark."
. He does have a softer side, it’s very rare that he shows it but he does have one - Connor is one of only a few people who has seen it and knows its there
. Will be living at MHA #16 while he is at Fandom
. Tracy, 35, from the dreaded timezone of AEST and thus I’m usually asleep during most of the day when the main gameplay is happening
.Works as a Barista for a Fast Food company and my hours tend to be all over the place - I try to ping in before I go to work and on my breaks (even though lately this hasn’t been happening as much because my brain is usually fried by the time that I get to my break - that said I do also have a terrible memory so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to keep a thread going and I forget to ping :)
. Also plays Alara Kitan, Josephine ‘Jo’ Jones, Guillermo de la Cruz, Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Sherman and Shane ‘Goose’ Gooseman I really need to get round to updating their profiles one of these days - especially Liz’s, even though the baby will probably be here by the time I update her profile :)
