MHA #13 - Monday Morning

It was Christmas morning and Cutter had gotten up early to put on the finishing touches to the tree, making sure all the presents were underneath and that Rex was content with his food over in the corner of the kitchen. Rex was chirping away happily as he ate.

Cutter put on some Christmas music, he was looking forward to celebrating his and Connor’s first Christmas together.

Cutter smiled fondly at that, "Rex is definitely going to love those boxes," he said, "so far this is shaping up to be a very nice Christmas morning indeed, I'm glad we're able to do this," he smiled at Connor.

"Perfect Christmas so far, and I love being able to spend it with you Nick" Connor smiled.

Just then there was a knock on the door and Connor's smile broadened. "Breakfast is here!" He headed for the door as he looked back at Cutter. "Want to get the plates and all for us and I'll get the food and drinks and bring them over?"

"And I love being able to spend it with you Connor," Cutter smiled back and nodded, "and I can definitely do that, I'll go get the plates now,"

He then went to the kitchen and began to get two plates out for him and Connor and put them on the table.

After picking up the food and giving the delivery guy a nice tip, he brought everything over and looked at Cutter with a grin as he started setting it all out.

"There's two coffee drinks for each of us, one hot and one cold. Cold peppermint mocha and a hot sugar cookie latte' for us both! And I got a full dozen doughnuts so we can be as bad as we want to be with celebrating our first Christmas together!"

"Oh this sounds perfect," Cutter smiled as he looked over the table, "thank you Connor, this is the perfect way to spend our first Christmas together,"

Connor beamed at that. "Well coffee seems to be a bit of a tradition with us so I figured it was worth continuing. And I agree this is a great way to celebrate our first Christmas together" Connor said as he leaned over to give Cutter a kiss. "The best Christmas ever!"

Cutter happily returned that kiss, "aye the best christmas ever," he agreed happily, "the first of many more to come," he smiled.

"Oh I really really do like the sound of that" Connor said as he leaned into Cutter's arms slightly and returned the kiss. "Many more years to celebrate together. Sounds perfect!"

Cutter smiled as he wrapped his arms around Connor and happily kept kissing him, "it definitely does," he agreed, "I'm glad that we're able to spend Christmas together, I'm looking forward to spending the day with you, an amazing breakfast, finishing unwrapping the presents and then spending the day together,"

Connor moaned into the kiss softly as he kept it going for a few minutes before reluctantly pulling back. "All I want is right here" he said as he gave Cutter's back a gentle rub before letting his hands fall away. "Well, you and couple of these doughnuts," he said with a smirk as he opened the box and grabbed one of the jelly-filled doughnuts.

Cutter couldn't help but laugh at that, "aye," he agreed, "you are all I ever need as well," he told him, and then his stomach started rumbling, "but I definitely wouldn't say no to a couple of doughnuts," he agreed with a sheepish smile.

Connor smiled and turned the box around so Cutter could see what was available and he picked up his iced coffee and took a long satisfying drink.

"We can enjoy more time together after we eat. I think you will like your next gift. Will be really good for bedtime I think" Connor smirked.

"Oh?" Cutter looked really intrigued at that and maybe started blushing just a little right then, "well I look forward to opening it then," he said as he picked out a couple of doughnuts and put them on his plate, he decided to go with his hot drink first and took a sip of that, "I hope you like the other gifts I got you as well," he said shyly.

Connor smiled at Cutter. "I am sure I will love them all" he said as he finished off he first doughnut and reached for a second one.

Cutter smiled at that as he busied himself with another doughnuts, "these are really good doughnuts," he said as he paused his eating to take a sip of his coffee. "Perfect Christmas morning breakfast,"

"They really are arent they? I had thought about trying ti make something special for us. That... lasted for about two minutes" he said with a small sheepish laugh.

"Oh?" Cutter said with a smile, "what were you originally going to make for us?" he asked, curious about could have been their Christmas breakfast instead.

"oh I had thought about the traditional breakfast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes... Don't think the kitchen is ready for that attempt from me " Connor said with a laugh.

Cutter laughed as well, "well it's the thought that counts right?" he grinned, "but these doughnuts and coffee do make a very nice breakfast as well,"

"Aye, glad you like them!" Connor said with a smile. "This is a very nice Christmas Breakfast isn't it?"

"The best," Cutter declared as he helped himself to another doughnut, "this should become a tradition for us on Christmas morning, open a couple of presents, have coffee and doughnuts for breakfast and then open the rest of the presents," he smiled.

"Oh I like the way you think, Nick!" Connor said with a broad grin. "That sounds like the perfect Christmas tradition! I love it!"

Cutter grinned as he raised his coffee in a toast, "to perfect Christmas traditions," he said.

"To the first of many amazing traditions we are going to have together!" he agreed as he returned the toast. It was amazing thinking about everything they had been through in the past year and have they almost hadn't ended up where they were right now. "I am glad I get to be making these traditions and memories with you Nick."

Cutter smiled at Connor, "I'm glad that I can make these new memories and traditions with you as well," he said, "they're going to be amazing Christmases and holidays," he said happily.
